I fear Loeb will take this one all too easily. I hope Marcus can grab second ahead of Sordo so Loeb doesn't take too many points off him.

shakedown times are interesting, 3 citroens quickest fords a little slower (behind the scoobys) but they only completed 1 run a peice so possibly some sandbagging is going on, tomorrow will tell, hopefully marcus can split the citroens although i think that might be a task in itself!
this is the first time we'll see the new suzuki SX4 on the stages but i dont think it'll be very competitive, also i find the press release from them on the WRC.com website to be very funny, yes we know what components go into a rally car! lets hope that they can make the car competitive by next year and get some decent drivers in! |

After Two Stages Marcus is Leading by 3 secs from sordo and loeb. Marcus must be driving the rims of the focus. The last 27 km stage the top three where covered by 0.2 of a second. Unbeliveable !!!

Go Marcus! How are the Suzukis getting on? I hope they're at least vaguely near the pace.
The closeness of times never ceases to amaze me - totally different cars, different drivers and yet they finish within fractions of a second. |

hopefully marcus can push loeb a bit tomorrow
the sole suzuki retired with an engine problem before the final service, i think they'll superrallye it tomorrow and get some more testing in but they dont look like they are on the pace of the lead cars, how much of that is down to the car or the driver im not sure |

Loeb is going to make Marcus work for this.
You have to assume Loeb will win Ireland. Japan and GB could go either way. |

I just noticed that Gronholm has not had a single retirement. That's pretty impressive.

hirvonens slip up on day 1 was the only mistake he has made this year, fairly consistent i think from both of them.
this battle should go down to the wire |

Well Loeb won that as expected, good to see Marcus beat Sordo though - that'll keep things interesting for the rest of the year. I'd agree with Knowlesy - Loeb will win in Ireland but the others could go either way. I'm hoping Marcus gets the title though - next year is Loebs without question and it would be good to see Marcus retire with the title.
