Danny Watts - lucky or what?
I watched the video coverage of Danny Watts Formulae Renault crash from Oulton Park last night - that guy was incredibly lucky to survive that one.
I think it might be time to consider wheel tethers on some of the junior formulae from the places that we found the wheels after the accident - its a good job there are no spectators on the outside of the bend at Druids. |

You are right about Danny Watts being lucky. I saw it too, it shows how strong cars are nowadays.

Yeah, that was one of biggest crashes I've seen for a while. The F-Renault chassis stood up well to the impact!

There was another one last weekend at Silverstone - Andrew THomson.
Hw walked away. Amazing. Infact even more amazing is that the race after his massive shunt, Watts went out and won the next race. Last edited by LHR; 7 Jun 2001 at 09:15. |
