Thinking about it, could this be a "warning" to the FIA? Basically all the fota teams saying "Wheels are in motion to set up our series, give us what we want or we will go". Remember, this is the small hours of Friday morning

But why would they do that given that they've warned countless times already?

No, this is real. Actually, they've been "gone" for weeks, maybe months. All the rest was window-dressing to make sure the legalisms were covered.

So what about the line in FOTA's statement about lowering ticket prices for fans, I can't see Bernie helping in that regard.

Hooray I say, although I would be sad to see KERS abandoned but that's another debate.

it seems very short on details, but the intent certainly sends a very loud message.

So it should too. The management of this sport has long been one of the most egocentric dictatorships in world sport.

for the record, i agree with budget caps, but it seems as though this whole thing is about something far greater than 2010 rule regulations...

The fall out of this will rock this sport to it's very foundations.
