Media Passes

Hello Im new to this forum i found it buy chance serching for ways to get media pass for circuits its fantastic forum.

i have been taking photos since my first trip to lemans in 1984 age 9, and have just purchased a D70 best cam i have had so far. i have been trying to get in to photgrapy for ages with no luck. but a friend of mine now races in the VW cup championships. so i want get media pass to get shots of him for sponsors, i dont know how to apply for media passes, all so if i can have one, i may set up a little company for photograpy taking pictures and selling them to the car owners. would that help? if any one can addvise me it would be really great. sorry for long message

try that for larger advice, but without a media outlet behind you you're pretty much sunk.

Try applying as a team media manager or something.

But surely a 'media' pass is for 'media' purposes only. Not for the setting up of a business to shoot cars for the drivers. We would all like the chance to get on the other side of the catch fencing to take better photos.

You should still be able to get excellent shots of your friend from the public side of the circuit if you pick the right places to shoot from.

think i will try to as media manger as i am media manger for the team really i suppose.
i am reporting for the on him for the local newspaer at the races from the next round. so hopefull i will get one. the startng of a company was just an idea as lots of people do it round the paddock, lots of people!!!
