Decent source for trophies
I really quite sure where to shove this, but here seems as good as any forum, apologies if its a bit off topic
Does anyone have any recommendations for good sources of trophies for motorsport? All the sites I've looked at seem to have lovely trophies for golf, cricket, football and rugby but seem to assume that motorsport=standard cups. Thanks in advance for any pointers Dave |

Best thing to do (I think so anyway!) is to contact the racing clubs like BARC/BRSCC/750 etc as they must use thousands of them!

D-i-y
Dependant on your budget, how much time you have to get them done, how much time you have to get spend running round getting things done and finally how many you want, I can recommend a Do-It-Yourself approach!
If we are talking Annual Trophies that will be presented and then returned to the club then I would recommend the above route. If on the other hand it is the Souvenir Awards that the driver's keep then your local Trophies Firm should have sufficient catalogues in which to find them. As for the D-I-Y Trophies then Model Cars (1 to 18 scale); Engine Parts (e.g. Cranks); Suspension Parts and even Wing End Plates make suitable trophies. It took me five and a half months to get a dozen trophies made up. The results though were stunning and thankfully everyone was impressed. It is hard work but the final product is so much better than 'bought in' trophies. Best of Luck - you'll need it! |
