Britcar Night Race at Brands

Hi all

Finally back marshalling properly after a couple of lean years (couldn't marshal easily on police shifts) and back on Ten Tenths (couldn't stay away).

Anyone know if they still need marshals for the Britcar night race at Brands on 15th November?

If so, am I right in thinking it's an MSVR meeting? Who do I contact to volunteer? Are you able to marshal just the Saturday, or do you have to commit to the Friday as well?
What time is sign-on on the Saturday? (Will be travelling up from Devon)

Sorry for the barrage of questions.

Phill

Yep Friday has been cancelled, sign on probably about 7.30ish I would guess.
I hated this meeting last year, yet I couldnt resist signing up again, one last meeting before the long winter!

It was great at this meeting last year. I had one arm and broke a post. And got very drunk on Saturday Night. Top Class.

I wont, I hated them too!
I think part of the reason I didnt get on with this meeting last yr was what Robin said about being stupidly drunk, headlights in your eyes and noisy cars dont go well with a headache. And I have enjoyed all the Britcar meetings I have done much more this year

Oi Nick, don't start that again with the snow. You know that something happens to you when it snows.

It will be a normal MSVR Saturday meeting -- sign-on 7:15 to 7:45, first practice at 9:00. I believe 5 races including Lotus on Track and MSVR Open Sports, with Britcar practice as it starts to get dark and a 90min. race starting at about 4:55 with closedown before 6:30.

Volunteer to Mildred, as usual.

Hi Guys,

Many of you will have seen me on the bank with you, however this Saturday I'm out for only my 4th ever race in my trusty Golf GTI in the Victor Meldrew Trophy (I don't believe it...)

Please give me a wave or come and say hello in the paddock - and I'll try to behave on track...

I just got my e-letter with sign-on details from Mildred, signing on is 0745-0830 in Hailwoods, with a briefing at 0845 (for observers or for everyone? doesn't say) with the first practice at 0930. The day is due to finish at 1830.

Looks like 28 entries in the Britcar race and good grids for the other races too.

Are we short for this? I had an email from Mildred asking me to confirm I was still going which I thought was a bit odd
