Yep, that was a real standout drive. If only he had stayed on wets. That was a great drive from him.
Runner-up of the day, Lewis. That was a difficult race with all the restarts and he still managed to win. I wonder if Max could have challenged him, if he hadn't had the spin and stayed on wets? Still, one of his best races - reminds me of Silverstone 2008 and Fuji 2007 - in the wet weather Lewis comes alive and takes win. |

Romain Grosjean, clearly.
Obviously the answer is Max. But mentions to Lewis and Rosberg (Rosberg only needed to finish 2nd, and he did), Perez, Ocon, Vettel who all ran well. Edit: and Sainz. |

Apart from Max it was good to see that Red Bull dedicated their race to Mark Simpson who happens to have been a mate of mine who died on Friday after a long illness, RIP SIMO !

I'm giving him my vote, Max will get more than enough votes already, and don't want to see Nasr left without any mention at all. That 9th place is ultra important for his team, and he must have been under some real pressure to keep it on the road while being fast enough to keep potentially faster cars behind. Relatively speaking, that 9th place is far more important than a 3rd, 2nd or 4th for Verstappen at this stage in the championship. Last edited by gert; 13 Nov 2016 at 22:54. |

Yeah Max. It's like everyone else out there is just tiptoeing around too scared to go off line. Ricciardo started to try and copy his teammate but just didn't have the same confidence did he?
It would be interesting to see Max at Mercedes, should they maintain their dominance in years to come. Could he give Hamilton a good go? Nico Rosberg; what a little pansy he was in this race. Every time there's a restart he's staying as far away from Hamilton as he could. It's clear he just wants to finish 2nd and fight no one. A real shame we didn't have RB staying on the wets because Max possibly would have had something for Hamilton at the end and could have taken a brilliant victory. Seb: I see he's being a whiney b-tch post-race about being pushed wide by Max the same way he pushed Alonso wide not long before. Cmon Seb you're making it difficult to be liked lately. Button; god knows where his head was at in this race. Slow as hell, constantly the first person to switch to inters even though it's way too wet. I wonder if he has no idea what tyres to be on and all these wet races he's won was only because he was just taking random gambles of when to switch, and he's not this partial-wet mastermind afterall. Alonso was very quick though. |

Nasr, Ocon, Hamilton, all did really well. And if not for Hulkenberg's puncture, he could very easily have gotten himself a podium, fighting back up to 7th in the end, when he was ahead of Perez beforehand. Real shame, the guy never gets the luck he needs to claim his first podium.
But it must be Max!!! |

I'm giving to Max as well, one of the best drives I've ever seen and also the way he kept it out the wall while aquaplaning and still keeping it in 2nd place. And then capped it all with a brilliant fightback at the end

Next year though, that Red Bull will be insane, I have no doubts (nor does anyone, I'm sure) - so we'll see some right ding dongs between Max and Lewis anyway... |

Max is the Biz
Max is what you get when...
A) Parents with racing backgrounds take their kid karting, and know what they're doing. B) Have the funds to go on from Karting to Motor Racing. C) Have good connections in Motor Racing. D) Have a fresh set of Extreame Wet tyres that hadn't been ruined following a SC, combined with the 'Karting' meathod of using the less contaminated tarmac off line ! |

Mad Max for me, because he was fast and exciting, and doing lots of passing. Lewis was faster but not exciting and he had no need to pass anyone. The present vote of 43-2 is biased too far towards Max though.
I've no idea why someone has voted for Nicola. He was somewhere between half a second and a second slower than his team-mate all race, he got mullered by Max early on, and was generally as uninspired as was to be expected in the wet. Sure he only needed second, but he wouldn't have had that if it weren't for the RB switch to inters and back again. Grosjean? Someone is pulling our .......leg, I think. Crashing before the grid has formed up does not constitute Driver of the Grand Prix. I did feel sorry for him though. It was an easy mistake to make in the conditions, and he must have felt sick to his boots to have wasted such a good qually result. |
