The opening and closing titles and credits.
The bits in between seemed to be fillers for advertising... |

When OzEmail got off the line, and were in first place, that was the best bit. Apart from that, the VB commercials with those 3 guys are always good to watch!!
Nothing else seemed to be all that good, only seeing the BA out on the track and the tent on the track. lv Ebony x |

Blast, the Cougar ad must have been pre-banned in QLD. All we had was mullets- Super Dave Zinger man, and the Cool and Cosy insulation mullet boys.
I'd say it was seeing Patto on the idiot box on Saturday. I liked the ghosting stuff, I's like to see a comparison between Lowndes and Forbes through the esses |

To be honest that would be the worst coverage, and the biggest stuff-up with the pace car and penalites i've ever seen at Bathurst.
I mean what with all the ads, and the pacecar stuffing the order up, i honestly could'nt follow it. Who was winning etc. Bloody shame. |

Ten put in far too many advert breaks. I know people say their coverage is best but I'm inclined to disagree.

The ads are a necessary evil. If people didn't pump money into it, there wouldn't be the possibility (note- POSSIBILITY) of getting 15ish hours of top level motorsport on TV.

The ads are necessary, no doubt about it, but the timing of them is often very poor, and the rest of the telecast is not giving in my opinion enough priority to the actual racing.

They seemed to time it perfectly to come back from the comercials, get maybe 1/2 a lap or so of racing in and then another safety car would come out.
I thought they got rid of all the "riff raff" to the Konica race to stop having so many safety car incidents ! |

Welcome aboard Holdenracinangel!
I wonder if the tent came from the Chase, from the paddock, or from the opposite side of the track? |

Actually I think the thing I enjoyed the most was that they didn't mention AFL ! Sure the AFL season has finished for the year but they still could have mentioned it would be coming back in 6 months time !

Did you see that big kangaroo hopping across the track on pratice day?I've been there a couple of times but never seen any.If one came hopping across the track just as you were turning into the Chase off Conrod I wouldn't like to think of the results. That one on practise day was a big ba$tard.

They had a horse on the track during one of the 12 Hours!
In regards to the telecast, I liked the historical bits Mark Oastler did, but they shouldn't have shown them during the race. |

It got very annoying with all those historical pieces followed by half a dozen commercials. While the historical pieces were well done they should have showed them before the race not during it. On a plus side they didn't bring all the channel Ten personalities out of the woodework & no politicians during the day which made the day more enjoyable.

The roo problem has been getting worse in recent years... might it be because the garbage tip keeps getting closer to the nature reserve?

We stayed at the Goldfields at Forest Elbow - Roos and Rabbits everywhere. Glad I didn't have to watch 10 by the sound of it - but I did have to listen to Oliver and his mate Lance cr@p on all day! It can't be that hard to find people who know what they are talking about and can follow what's going on.

Re the roos - remember that most of the east coast and SE Aust is currently undergoing a roo population explosion and, due to the drought, these roos are coming nearer to population centres...
