Currency can be exchanged for goods and services.
Try that. Or walk down the evil path and download it with Kazaalite... Or at Ebay. Last edited by ASCII Man; 12 Mar 2003 at 21:59. |

Uh Uh, not KaZaA. Buy it McKay. £4.99 from www.sold-out.co.uk
Then go to gplea.racesimcentral.com. Get all the car updates from there. Then go to magnust.d2g.com for the addon tracks, and look around in the links page at gplea for the D3D rasteriser if you haven't got a good graphics card. Get also GPL_Patch_1.2.0.1 Then head to www.vroc.net so you can race online. |

Hey, I want some of the action too!!
Hurray up and get GPL McKay - my local HMV had a stack of them on the shelves for £4.99 last week. First time I've seen it in the shops for months. Eventually, they'll all disappear, and those who don't take the chance while they can will miss out on the greatest motor racing Sim known to man. |

Even if you don't like it, it's worth getting in case you do. Don't dither about it. Of course, you cannot get the original box anymore, so you'll be looking for something like Sierra classics, or sold-out.

You know what I'd like to see? "GPL2: The 1976 Season." The six-wheeled P34, the Õsterreichring, Interlagos, Long Beach, Brands Hatch, Paul Ricard, James Hunt, Niki Lauda, and the last hurrah of the Nürburgring. Either that or a game that goes back to the fifties.

i think you can't jump forward that far. i reckon 1971 is a good year.
Lotus 72, Tyrell 001, Ferrari 312, all of those. |

I like the idea of 1976 because it would different enough to warrent it. Only moving on a couple of years would just mean new skins and car models with a slight tweak to the handling. For 1976 they'd have to pretty much start from scratch.

But you're talking wings and slicks. Might as well play GP3/4. Yes, the looks of the cars might be nice, but give me the physics of the 67 cars anyday.

That's what i fear. Maybe Can-Am Legends would be a better next move. As for the physics, well they'll never be as bad as GP3/4
They had slicks in 71. And wings. But the cars were still jumped up cars from 67. |

The demo is limited to Watkins Glen but if you've got a decent spec pc (and processor power is what really counts, not necessarily a super-duper graphics card), it will at least give you an idea of how good the sim is. But if you can find a copy anywhere - bearing in mind that it probably wn't cost you that much - snap it up!

I bought the original back in '98, but then a few months ago I went out and bought the Sold-Out version as a spare. It's still in the shrink wrap.
You can't be too careful! |

Yeah, i bought mine at the '98 Autosport show, i never got round to reading "four wheel drift" tho. I still have the box, plus it's contents. You can't get the original anymore of course.

You really should read the 'Four Wheel Drift' book. It is very interesting.

I'm reading it now!
It never meant anything to me because i never used to manual shift, and thus the tips were kinda lost on me. Also, i didn't want to pound around Wat Glen all day |
