Driving Standards

This is not a pointing fingures thread so dont start pointing fingures!

But a competitor recently was driving very dirty but was let away without any warnings, yet very recently the same competitor was driving in europe and got a firm slap across the wrists by the gov. body.

My question is to you all, from the above and from your own interpritations of incidents over the past years do you think :

1.) Driving standards are not enforced properly by your respecive govnering body ?

2.) Why do you think that ?

I think this year driving standards have improved.
1. People have been called in warnings have been given and people have been excluded.
2. From my point of view I have no probs with the govering body.

There are some drivers who are more forceful than others, maybe the way to go is after a certain number of calls before the stewards, a one meeting ban or points deduction comes into place. That might help improve standards futher.

I agree with silver bullet so far to say that I think the driving standards seem to have improved this year, especially in our class. This is probably due to the fact that we have only had, on average about 8 cars per meeting. So, is this because the driving standards have gotten better, or the more aggresive drivers aren't competing this year??

I feel there is very little consistency in the decisions made at the moment.

Even between classes you see a huge difference in the penalties handed down.

There is no use having the odd sacrificial lamb in the hope that the other sheep will all jump into line.

I agree whole heartedly about the above, i would agree with other peoples statements that the standards have improved only slightly; however i still am of the opinion that some of the incidents this year could have been treated differently; some endorsements had been run right out of prospective in some cases - then in others a slap across the wrists for a near serious incident just dosnt cut it.
