They were great action shots. I only got to see them on the big screen. I was in the Barry Sheene Stand

Excellent BJAY , thanks I hadnt seen anything on the Konica cars as yet so it was much appreciated.
One point though , are the turn 8 grandstand tickets as expensive as the pit straight ones ??? a heck of alot of action there over the weekend |

The footage is great... the Gurr crash saw the car well out of control before it hit the wall... has you wondering if component failure was involved...

Mr Gurr had the throttle stick open on him as he hit 240kph down Bartels Road, meaning he hit the concrete at not much less than that!

The sweeper grandstand (there are actually 2 of them, I was in the "Adelaide Straight Gold") were about $150 odd for the 4 days. Well worth the money.
I've also made a highlights clip from the weekend. http://users.tpg.com.au/mccant/v8_ad..._highlights_BJ Size: 20,423KB Length: 3:55mins BJ |

BJAY - 2 things - link you gave is no good (missing extension??) - and is that your highlight package or Channel 10's? If 10's really think you should be putting it up like this??

Well done BJ, seems like you spent the weekend waiting for that stuff to happen!
Let us know when we can access the wimmer and the highlight packages. |

I took the wimmer crash off for more space, but I don't know why the rest aren't working. I'll look into it.
I made the highlights clip myself. The footage is from 10 of course, but I put it together. BJ |

Good footage.
Not so sure about the two-bit hicks that cheer and clap when a driver gets pinged in the driver's door by two cars at 198km/h... |

Yeah I don't think that that grandstand would have the highest class of race fan sitting in it (no offence to real motor racing fans who sit in that grandstand). But I suppose the kind of people who go "just for the crashes" wouldn't buy grandstand seats.........

I would be careful putting up Channel 10 footage, you never know but for sure AVESCO or Ten will actually own the footage taken by their cameras, I am not really up in the media law side of things but I would imagine that you are very close to a line that will be not a good deal for you to cross,I don't know but even the site may come in for a bit of attention for acting as a broadcaster

That's why I raised it before - highlights of his own footage are reasonably OK (although check your ticket as AVESCO try to claim copyright on all images taken at the track!!) but Ch 10's footage is definately in the area of 'We'll sure your arse off'...

Hmm me either, they worked the other day. Sorry no idea at this point. Maybe channel 10 have fixed the problem of who owns the vids.

A poster here had a site relating to teams' new liveries and the ASVESCO Nazis had him redesign it but that was more to do with use of logos I think... |

Malik's website was changed because of an email from AVESCO, but was closed down due to an email from the management of a V8 Forum site...both emails were complaints about breach of Copyright.
People may want to read this sheet on Australian Copyright Law as it applies to television...techniacally, even taping the race while at the track for personal viewing later is a breach...This sheet does not even go into what laws are breached by communicating (i.e. distributing) said material... ...but as with any law/regulation/rule...you only need to worry if caught... Cheers |
