Shopping with Joanna!!
Well in their wisdom, our wonderful sponsors have asked me to kit Joanna out in our new look racewear (you'll have to wait till Knockhill to see it) Now, as holder of the budget I had to take JC shopping to Demon Tweeks. I did the same with Nick Beaumont at the start of the year...with Nick it was easy straight in try on a suit, pair of boots, helmet and out the door in about 3 minutes. Today, well that was a a little different...we arrived at about 10.30 at five to twelve we were just about OK with the suit, but the race boots......we had about 17 different sizes, shapes, types all over the floor, every imaginable glove, well all I can say is I hope the sponsors appreciate the end result!!!On the way back it being about time for a bite to eat we stopped at a restaurant, now this particular chain of restaurants have quite a large menu, I would say maybe 50 different dishes....no JC couldn't find what she wanted...had an omlette made instead. Does this mean we are going to have a difficult weekend? (Only joking Joanna, it's Phil I feel sorry for!)

John DO NOT GO THERE !! 3 Women shopping and before you know it the darn car has a 100kg weight penalty due to the shopping in the boot. Lap 3 pit stop 'cause lipstick is smudged, lap 7 pit stop, mascara running, lap 11, pit stop, good looking bloke behind in a Vauxhaul was flashing his lights in my mirror, My hair must need to be restyled just in case. and so on.
Oh my god, just thought, you have got a hair stylist laid on for just before (Girl talk about 3 hours prior) the pit lane walkabout haven't you..... And a change of colour co ordinated overalls for just before the race AND another set just after the race. Simon |

Welcome to the forums Joanna! Shopping, hate it! But I like shopping in places like B&Q and all the other shops with a good smell of wood and paint. Not a while ago there was an attempted murder at my local B&Q, as a man got stabbed. Scared everyone away.... |

Did John stand there Joanna, with his hands behind his back, staring at nothing and with several deep sighs! If he didn't, then you were lucky, coz that's what most men do when they are shopping with females. |

Welcome to the forum Joanna.
100kg penalty - obviously you don't go to the right shops - I can beat that easy with one hand tied behind my back. Quote:

John!
Next time send Joanna to see Stand21 at Brands, the suit is made to measure and hence you don't get all those tricky decisions (plus it doesn't cost anymore than a standard size suit). I know I am a bit biased but if Senna, Piquet, Prost and Mansell all wore Stand21 when they were choosing their own suits (ie before Sparco started backhanding the teams to take their suits) then they are good enough for me. Cheers RickP |

Whilst women indeed are excruciatingly unbearable whilst shopping, men are even worse. Admit it guys - we LOVE shopping. As long as it's for us. |

If that's the case, maybe John should buy his next race suit from Stand 21...
