Lydden Bank Holiday Monday
Two weeks to go! So the usual questions - who's going and who knows what about the cars/drivers that are going to be there?
Doran, Gollop and McCluskey should be back to boost the supercar numbers. Gibson is frantically working on the 6R4 and hopes to be there. Does anybody know anything about the other supercars? Manning and McCann? Carnegie is having engine work done following his European jaunt but should be there. I guess Grant and Mundy will be there so hopefully it'll be pretty much a full field of supercars (at least at the start of play). Modifieds? I've kind of lost track of who was suffering problems but I guess the usual suspects will be there, hopefully we'll get a string line up with plenty of entries. Anybody else got any news? Rxie - have you persuaded Mr Evans to run his Astra at Lydden? |

Rallycross - August - Bank Holiday Monday.
Must go to Lydden.... Must go to Lydden.... Sorry - it's been conditioned into me over the years like some form of Pavlovian response. Of COURSE I'll be at Lydden on August Bank Holiday Monday. As you say, who else is coming? |

Hi Everyone
I will hopefully be out playing with the boys in stockhatch, now that I have a nice upgraded licence. I say hopefully as I have not had my entry confirmed yet. We may also have another RHR driver out!! but can you guess which one? |

Another RHR driver? Sean, Derek or Greg then! Any chance of Mr Cross appearing with the Focus? (I've seen it advertised for sale on a couple of websites - it'd be great advertising to give it a run!). |

he he he, genius the guy who said that to you rxie.
I of course am hoping to be there, always a special occasion at Lydden camping on the hill. Just awaiting the entry list to pop up on the BRDA website. Instead of asking about the British drivers does anyone know of any European drivers that may make the short journey over? I imagine it will be shorter than my journey for most of them! |

Rixe have you heard anything about Carnegie taking the Resrictor back of the focus for the remaining rounds. If he doesn't I can see him being blown away by the rest.

You will have to wait and see which RHR will be out!! As for Mr Cross I think he will be out, but I am not sure what in? I think he's celebrating 100 years of driving!! Also RALLYXPICS.com will be up and running this weekend so Pembrey will be on there. He will also be at Lydden to take pictures on me and maybe Tina if's she's lucky. |

If Mannings engine stays together he's always a good outside bet but the engine in that car seems to be operating right on the limits at all times.
Gollop was really quick at Lydden at Easter until the engine let go so I'd expect him to be challenging for the win along with Carnegie. McCluskey can't be ruled out either, he's come very close to winning quite a few of the Lydden events. I can't see Doran being on the pace in the Escort - as a first event for the car he'll be doing well to keep it running all day! The rest of the pack should be fairly close too so I'd expect the supercar races to be really good (they always are but there are so many closely matched cars out there now that we should be in for a real treat). Is Gibsons car fit again after it's accident last time out? So the answer to the question "who's going to win" is Gollop (with Carnegie a very close second). As for the modifieds - I'll have a look at the entry list and then work that one out! |

I don't think Carnegie will suffer too badly as a result of running restricted - Gollops car is restricted and he was winning at Lydden until the engine let go at the Easter meeting. Does anybody know if Grant and Mundy are running the restrictor (I'm assuming that Manning isn't, McCluskey, McCann and Doran will be). |

I Don't think Carnigie will be at the races with the euro spec car unless he sheds a load of weight. The car looked a pale version of it's self over in holland. Wasn't at last brda round but I thought from what I was told that Carnigies car was well off the pace and only problems for others handed him the win ?

I also see on the BRDA website that Mr Bellerby has a 6 Speed dog box for sale. Has he got himself a sequential box?

The preview was there earlier this morning - maybe they're going to stick the entry list up? (we can hope)
RHR is Rose Holland Racing - as in Greg Rose, Sean, Derek and Becky Holland. |

Who is Robert gooding? is he a new driver or does he race somewhere else? an dwill he be racing the rest of the season? Good to see the return of the Stewart Porsche and a few forigners to test the supermodified. |

Entry list is looking good 10 supercars - including 1 new machine, does anybody know anything about this car/driver? Is it an existing car that's changed hands or is it a new machine? (There was a mk3 escort supercar mentioned before the season - is this it?)
Modified entry is looking good as well, all the usual suspects and a few more thrown in for good measure. Good to see Gordon Rogers and Dave Ward back - they should be up there challenging the leading group. That's also quite a small stock hatch entry - has it been capped or are the drivers just not coming out to play? (Roy G - are you not going to be there?) Should be a cracking meeting, not long now |

Rxie, this isnt Chris's second car. Goodings car is an Escort and sponsored by http://www.zeroexhausts.co.uk/ at least thats what the BRDA site says and this company is based in Ashford where Gooding is from.
(i may be totally wrong but i doubt it :-) ) |
