Bloody Channel 10!
I don't think that this title is harsh, but did everyone else just hear what Bill Woods just said?
They have to cut the telecast of qualifying short because they need to show everyone a kids program. A kids program. Yep, that's REAL important, isn't it? Channel 10 is probably dominating the ratings in this time period today, so yep, let's lose all the viewers over about 12 and show some crap about just add water... Well done Channel 10! Brilliant. I'll be glad when V8's are off your channel. |

What an absolute load of crap.
First of all the Jap Grand Prix gets pushed back to 11pm and now this? An absolute cop out, you cannot tell me they cannot circumvent the regulations for a live event under the circumstances? What's next? They'll make the race a timed race on Sunday so they don't cut into the news? Oh, I should shut up otherwise I'll give them ideas. Home of motorsport...please. |

It's a government regulation. They must show children’s programming at certain times of the day although networks can obtain exemptions to cover significant events. Of course the exemption would have to be obtained before the fact.

It is federal government regulations re minimum children's content.
Channel 10 cops enough abuse on here without bashing them things outside their control. |

Crap. Im sure they would receive a sum total of 0 complaints if they pressed ahead with quali and nobody would even notice.
Complete cop out, once again holding the sport to ransom |

Well, they've got 10 minutes to show 45 minutes of qualifying... Time to pull up the Live Timing...

So the head of Motorsport couldn't ring the TV broadcaster board and say we've had a serious accident which has held us up significantly - we've committed to a live coverage, can we continue?
If commonsense prevailed they'd say go your hardest. |
