Fuji for 2007
Fuji has got the japenese GP from 2007,
oh s***! I personally hate the place, suzuka is a great track which it demonstrated in 05. I really hope japan get two GPs, then this will be quite good news, http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpa...s_art_id=27386 |

Does Fuji have a corner around which Alonso can pass M.Schumacher at 200mph?
I think not. |

All the nice corners have been butchered into oblivion by that german you-know-what...
°sigh° Even Zolder would've been a better track... |

Well, if this is official then it is not too surprising really.
It is a tragedy to lose Suzuka, and therefore I pray Japan gets two races. Just don't let Suzuka being massacred. If that is what is required to get it back on the F1 calandar, then it would be far better that F1 does without. |

I have a soft spot for Fuji. The modified layout isn't as good as 'classic' Fuji but it seems to allow for good racing. It's a real shame the Last Corner was changed completely, but I'm reserving judgement until I see how fast an F1 car can plow through the new section and onto the straight.
It would really help if we knew what Honda's stance is. It was always on the cards they would lose a bidding war with Toyota but what if they simply didn't want to renew or couldn't afford the asking for a 'Pacific GP'? I don't believe even Bernie is crazy enough to drop Suzuka, the fan backlash would be huge. |

Terrible, terrible news. If Suzuka really is to be lost from the calendar then F1 has once again kicked itself in the teeth, and Ecclestone et al have once again demonstrated a total and utter lack of regard for the fans of this once great sport.

Oh no.
The new Fuji is a disaster of epic proportions. If Suzuka gets the chop, then it will be another nail in the coffin for me for my interest in F1. V-10s, slick tyres, Suzuka, Spa gone... |

V-10s gone ? i was more upset about losing the V12's in the mid 90's !!
Also, remember... we may not be at Monza this year as well with the current legal proceedings... i recall a F3000 meeting cancelled recently due to the courts. Silverstones on tenterhooks each year.. Which leaves Monaco as the last of the great f1 circuits. |

Join me in nostalgia wandering round rain sodden race circuits that look more like roman ruins, remembering that long extinct species - the motor race.

Only Pitpass.com is reporting it. No other F1-website is reporting it. But it would be a shame if Suzuka will be dropped from the F1-calander.

It would be a shame if this were to happen, Suzuka is one of the best circuits on the calendar. I would miss the flat out run over the bridge and thru 130R

ITV reported this as fact yesterday, but they aren't always 100% reliable. A second race for Japan would be the ideal solution, as the country is big enough and has enough F1 enthusiasm to justify it. It jsut says so much about the way the world is going - throw in a little corporate greed and you can replace thrilling classics with character-shorn monstrosities.

This is terrible. But fear not, Suzuka may still be saved. We could still have two Japanese races, especially if Hockenheim gets the chop for next year.

The V8's aren't bad either.
In fact I rather like them. And I was a detractor when it was first announced. |
