Tire Question
When Michelin or Bridgestone bring tires to a race and for example Ferrari and BAR chose the same compound.
Would both teams tires be the same or tires are specifically made for the individulal teams ? Is it possible that Bridgestone my give a better tire to Ferrari and not let BAR use that kind of compound ? Thanks |

All the Bridgestone tyres are made to suit the Ferrari, the rest of the teams have to make do. Michelin produce a more 'all round' tyre that suits most of its teams pretty well.

They are, but they cost money, it's far cheaper to produce on tyre. Besides, Ferrari have essentially had bespoke tyres since Mclaren went over to Michelin.

That's to bad.
I thought it was an even playing field with a tire maker. Smaller teams always seem to lose out ,or if your not in the running for the top. |
