The SpeCTator should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Will we see circuit racing at Lydden in 2012?

Sadly circuit racing at Lydden has all but disappeared with all of the major clubs going elsewhere, although SEMSEC has just about held on in there.

I believe the circuit today is in the best condition for many a long year having benefited from Pat Doran's investment for Rallycross.

It would be great if some of the clubs or series made a return to Lydden, it has played host to 750MC/BRSCC etc in the past and full grids of MX5's, Vee's and Legends always prove to be a spectacle.

I know there are a lot of problems in this but here's hoping that circuit racing survives at Lydden for 2012 and beyond.

lydden used to be a cheap place to race which often made up for other short comings, circuit hire fees these days mean its no longer a cheap place to hire, so entry fees have gone up considerably meaning drivers are voting with there feet, i like lydden, but its not worth paying brands hatch money to race there

PRS RH01 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Classic Formula Fords at Lydden

We went there around 2002/3 and i went to the last round of Semsecs races this year. Forgot what a great action packed circuit it is with this in mind i am looking at options to run a non championship round there probably for Pre 90 cars . The circuit fees whalst not cheap are ok and Semsec would love to work with us and others .
Its a long way for me from Manchester but still worth going to well done Pat for the work done so far keep up the good work.

I would add, as it is in the NASCAR forum, I believe the European Late Models are booked to go there next year.

I do hope so, but since they were last there, I think the curbing at the oval cut through has changed, is this still okay for cars running anti clockwise?

Any clues to a date??

Okay found the proposed date on the website, 16-17 June. Glad you mentioned they were coming, as I was thinking of booking to go somewhere else that weekend.

I got them down as 16th 17th of June too. I have also heard rumours that I will be racing with the Sprint Cars there on the same days, but that isn't confirmed yet. I don't know what the hold up is on the confirmation. Money I guess. Nobody tells me nuttin' I am just the driver...
