Last shot for TCR Middle East

Last year was a flop despite the racing was good

Racing One from the ADAC TCR Germany will likely enter.

With the money in these countries you would expect more entries.

Calendar reshuffle due to "logistical reasons". Dubai race moved to 2nd round and first Bahrain round cancelled. Probably trying to draw in TCES 24h cars and having a race before the Dubai 24h wasn't helping that. Any cars that make it through the 24 hour race intact could well do round 1 and 2.

Both Team Engstler and Pit Lane Competizioni has a spare Golf that they're trying to find a driver for. That would be 12 cars if it works. I think that's a good number for this championship. There's only 6-10 in other continuing TCR championships.

11 entries in Abu Dhabi. Lorenzo Veglia in the 3° Golf of Pit Lane Competizione is the last addition.

No locals have interest in this competition

Pit Lane Competizioni has won the Italian championship last year, nothing to share with Target Competition. These cars belong to Adria Raceway, the same used in the Europe Trophy in October.

Giacomo Altoe is on pole and it appears that there is no way to watch the races, just like the Abu Dhabi round last year. No wonder there are so few entries.

Giacomo Altoe won Race 1, while Lorenzo Veglia won Race 2.
Veglia was later penalised with 30 seconds, so the win goes to Luca Engestler.

Kroes isn't even an addition, he's a replacement.

No coverage again for this round.

Just 9 entries this weekend.

There should be coverage. Bahrain's events are streamed on the circuit's Youtube channel.

Engstler won the title. The second race was rained off.
