Max only 1 mistake.
Albon with overtake of the race! Was unlucky to get knocked out. |

Norris. Drove really well and that was just bad luck, missing out on the tyre stop with the 1st FCY.

I picked Verstappen but Norris was also pretty perfect. Russell was also hugely impressive for his pace and aggression but he skipped the chicane twice, both costly as the first lost track position to Verstappen, and the second to Norris (Verstappen and Norris each did so once but were fortunate not to lose any places), and also had that botched move on Piastri. Credit also to Alex Albon for that double overtake.

Lando for me - just that run on inters as he passed Russell and then Max was enough to earn DOTR IMHO.

I went for Verstappen. Could have voted Norris.
Hats off to all the drivers who finished in tough conditions. |

Has to be Norris for me. Was pulling away at the rate of knots prior to the first SC. Was unlucky to lose it due to timing, but still later showed great pace, especially on inters on damp but drying track

Lando again. He was peerless on the inters as the track began to dry (both times) and was very unlucky with the timing of the safety car. He was very philosophical about that when others would be spitting their dummies out and honourably pointed out that though the safety car hurt him here, it helped him in Miami.
George Russell was also looking good. Out-qualified a 7x world champion again and then pulled a brilliant pass on the same champion late in the race. Much as I was impressed by George passing Lewis, the overtake-of-the-race (and possibly of-the-season) goes to Alex Albon. Clearly he was only planning on passing the one car and then found himself forced to take the second one or run in the back of him. I'm not sure he would have finished all that high but still it was a shame to get taken out in someone else's accident. |
