I think Tony Janetta sold 'Hammy' to John Stone before he went to the USA. John Stone also owns 3 of them. White, yellow and blue all sponsoreed by Legend Fires
I didnt know that Damian Cole had one. I also think that Peter Lloyd sold his a while back to fund a WRC scooby. |

Matti Santti's car now has a 3.5 DAM engine. It was rallycrossed as a 3.0 in the European Championships in the very early '90s by Finnish driver Pauli Silvennoinen.
Rob Gibson still has his 3.0. The registration of his car is C*** EUD i think. He used to rallycross it with the number plates on. Will have to check some old videos to find the number. Ken Simms now owns Will Gollop's old 2.3 BiTurbo rallycross special. See current issue of Autocar magazine (0-100-0mph feature). Terry Briggs' car (ex Guy Williams rallycross car) has been sold for spares. The spares have been split between Irishmen George Tracey and Dan Donoghue. I'm not 100% sure but i think Tracey's car is the red and white liveried ex Dermot Carnegie 3.5 machine. Donoghue's car is a 3.5. Both of these guys use the cars in the Irish Rallycross Championships. |

Have also just thought of another rallycross 6R4. Ian Rowlance made a brief appearance in his on August Bank Holiday at Lydden in 2001 if i remember correctly. It was a 2.8 version i think. |

The reason that car stuck in my memory was the signwriting on the rear spoiler 'BERT' in big fat letters, they really should have let me have a go! |

There is a one of the Computervision liveried cars in the Heritage Motor Museum nr. Warwick. I'm pretty sure that the plaque stated that it wasn't registered, and I can't remember if it had a number on it. Nevertheless, it's definately there in all its glory, along side one of the 6 protatype Ford RS200's.

I wonder if any of the mod team feel that the #18 and #19 posts on this thread should be moved over to the Group B MG Metro 6R4 History and then this thread be closed? Bare in mind that this thread was six years old until it was recently updated.
Otherwise we might have two 6R4 threads running consecutively, which will become diluted and awkward to follow in my opinion. Just my tuppence worth of course, and I don't mean to tread on anyone's toes! |

VEE64V ( previously C288JFM ) now carries the registration C170CST. Up until this year it was still competing in forest and tarmac rallies, mainly in Scotland.
This is the ex Jon Burn car, which won the Scottish Rally Championship in 1999. Owned and run by R.E.D boss Geoff Fielding in 1985 and 1986 . Also owned by the late Tony Davies. Q777RDS is Murray Griersons old Metro 6R2. Hart powered with Hewland gearbox. Recently recommissioned last year, will be competing in various events this year. Been tucked away for a while , it won the Scottish Rally Championship in 1993 and not done much since. I suppose, technically it should be called a metro 4R2
