Do Rodney Forbes, Paul Romano & Paul Morris deserve a CAMS licence

Do these above mentioned drivers deserve to be CAMS licence holders. In my opinion they do not, but hey opinions are different so what is yours..

After watching Paul Morris fight off Jimmy Richards in the BMW / Volvo battles of the Super Tourers I'd say Morris has some talent (as much as I don't like him) but I think he may be a little out of his depth in the V8s.

Forbes and Romano however should be perhaps racing in the MGF trophy or V8 Supercars on Playstations at home.

why would morris not deserve his licence? what has he done thats puts him in with the likes of forbes or romano?

I also don't understand the comment that "he may be a little out of his depth in the V8s". Do you really think the quality of the field is that good? What are you comparing the standard or level of driving to?

Oh I don't know maybe the fact that he gets in the way when being lapped and has a bad habit of also running into people when being lapped. He was ok in Super Touring where there was no other competative cars

No I don't think I am better. But I think these blokes mentioned aren't real crash hot. I at least have gone out there and competed in Motorsport and put my money where my mouth is, have you. Again I didn't say I was better than these guys. I think the only 1 fool and smart arse here and it is you.

Remember Morris has won a round before in 2001 I think at Calder, So he definately has to ability to mix it with the best. Romano should just give up. Looking at his car on the weekend no sponsor could be seen so I would imagine sponsors have given up on him as well. Forbes would be better doing Konica than in the main series, would do a lot better and free up a spot at 00 for the main game. Longhurst would be a good replacement, at least he could guide Ritter to better things.

Forbes seems to find the track too narrow, he's forever coming off it.
Romano, i didn't realize he was still racing ??
Morris can't be that bad, he seems to have hot and cold rounds...

Thexton has to be added to this poll. He is a bigger goose than Forbes by all accounts, and thats saying something

On driving talent, well that is debatable.
However judged by on track manners/sportsmanship then I would say not, especially after Phillip Island last year.
One thing you have to give Forbes and Romano credit for is their consistency. The one constant in V8 racing is seeing Forbes or Romano off the track at some point, usually resulting in damaged cars.

Well Thexton looked to be very slow but I would reckon that the reason Romano and Forbes made it into the poll would be their incredible ability to damage their cars every single race!

I believe that Romano and Forbes should keep their licences but given a written warning about their ability and smarten their act up or goodbye. Morris on the other hand needs to understand the cars hez driving now are just a little bigger than the Beemers so adjust to them as he is quite capable of doing a good job .
My wife made a comment about Ingall on the weekend,
"He reminds me of Alan Grice the way he drives"

Steady People, some of the comments are getting a bit close to the bone, some of these drivers read these forums although they dont publically post like others do.
You have to be aware of a few things.
Sponsors ( Current and Perspective,) and Employers read here and comments like this DO NOTHING for the peoples livlehoods.
Other drivers come here, read these, take offence and contact the drivers involved to come have a look.
Just be careful what you say. You'd feel terrible if it was you whose perspective sponsor, about to sign on the line for a multi million dollar five year deal, came here and read morons bagging you, and then refused to sign.
Its happened before and its likely to happen again. BE CAREFUL
