BTCC rounds 1-3 Brands Hatch Indy thread
It all begins here. Andy Jordan running the #1, 7 former champions at the front of a grid almost full of potential race winners and a whole host of championship contenders. Weather forecast is dry and surprisingly warm, considering the circuit last year saw light snowfall and frigid weather. My personal prediction, the stable drivers, Andy Jordan, Jason Plato and Sam Tordorff will be fastest out of the box, but from the testing times at Donington, Alain Menu might not be far behind and the old-hands really need to get a race win or two early on before the returnees, rookies and veterans in new machinery manage to catch up. |

cannot wait for the start Predictions this weekend, Andy Jordan will be up there expect him to grab pole to be honest, would love to see turkington get a win this weekend, also think the new civic tourer could shock a few maybe a podium |

yes and every year he loses the title
BTW I am really fed up with this Plato most successful BTCC winner ever thing it insults the previous BTCC drivers Plato has 30 races per year while the likes of Andy Rouse had just 10 races per year , even the super tourers had just 20 races instead of 30 , totally unfair comparison yes he won many races but the conditions were totally different |

It can't really be doubted that Plato is amongst the top drivers to have raced in the series. |

Down to 30 cars. Dan Welch will sit out Brands as his car isn't finished.

"Possession and retention of a TBL includes an obligation from each entrant to contest all BTCC events for each season entered. An entry that is unused for one event in any season will void its TBL, and an entry that misses two events will have its entry rescinded for the balance of the season."
So as I read it: as long as he turns up for Donington, he'll be okay to compete the rest of the year but he no longer has a TBL (and hence no guarantee of a place in 2015-6). If he misses Donington, then he's at the mercy of TOCA to let him enter Thruxton. |

Yeah Welch have lost one of their TBLs. Alan Gow was looking to reclaim one anyway.

The Toyotas aren't looking too hot either. 13th, 19th, 21st, 26th, and 27th.

Aidan Moffat looks out of his depth so far unless he had serious problem with car, he is way off pace
Adam Morgan looks like a dark horse |

He's 1.5s faster than TOC managed last year. Ingram in 4th so I take it back about the Toyotas.

I wonder how much time was shaved off the VW over last season and how much is due to the winter break redesign.

yeah would like to know too
Motorbase on the other hand is a disaster they are only 13th, 16th, 19th and 22th EDIT Goff jumped to 2nd, Team BMR Restart is on a roll !! EDIT 2 Civic Tourer 8th and 9th but at least they are very very close to leaders believe the Tourer will do much better at Donington Last edited by porsche962fan; 29 Mar 2014 at 13:25. |

Where did that Jack Goff time come from?
So the top 24 are within a second. By comparison, last year's practice 2 saw only the top ten manage that. edit: Depper is looking like a significant improvement on Jeff Smith. Don't think he'll be troubling Jordan but it will stop looking so much like a one car team. Last edited by MrAero; 29 Mar 2014 at 13:31. |

I wouldn't read too much into FP1 at round 1... it's not that important - unless somebody bins it in a big way.

Round 1, give the boy a chance! You're so quick to criticise people, I bet it must be so hard to make judgements on live timing from the comfort of your own computer chair......
