BTCC 2007 Season Review DVD's - Please read if you are considering!
Urgent message to anyone who is considering buying this, if I were you I would hold off right now.
I pre-ordered mine from Play.com and this morning I received it. There are 2 discs, but unfortunately both Disc's 1 & 2 have the contents on Disc 2 on them! This has happened to other people so it probably is a mix up at the manufacturers plant. Also, if you are giving this as an Xmas pressie I would re-consider it! |

What a complete cock up - unfortunately I've ordered mine from play.com last week and am still waiting for it to arrive.
What are you having to do about it? Sounds like its going to be a bit of a drawn out process getting hold of a good copy. It's very dissapointing as they kept putting back the release date and then still couldn't even manage to get it right! I suppose the second half of the season was more exciting than the first though!! |

I've also read people have opened them up and found the British Superbike discs in there instead of BTCC.....

Duke have put the release date back to 14th Jan 2008, so you won't be able to buy it from them until then.

It has no extras. Doesn't even have interviews from most races.

Oh diddums. Well I watch motorsport for the action, not the chit-chat (great thing about dvds is that you can skip chapters with chitchat only), so not to worry.

It is nice to have background to the events though. Some of the stuff on track loses context in a season review format.

Or, in the event of F1 season reviews, completely suck at virtually all levels.
I could see myself getting this product in some random discount bin in October 2010 for 5 bucks, or something. I have never considered it worth paying "proper" prices for review packages, as they are virtually always a tad of a disappointment. Although, having said this, the BTCC ones I have from years back are pretty respectable (mid-to-late 90s): how does the current approach compare? |

Hehehe, have you seen the 2007 F1 review yet? Argh.
They not only put you to sleep, they make Ben Edwards boring as well. Nigh on four hours of high octane drivel. |

I will likely see the 2007 F1 review in a few years.
I have only seen the likes of 2001's following ALMS@Mosport last year. There is great satisfaction in buying things for 5 bucks that have 80-120 bucks marked as the original prices. Perhaps at ALMS@Mosport 2011 I will pick it up, . Last edited by Dutton; 19 Jan 2008 at 22:52. |

Oh, if I see it for 5 bucks I will buy it. It would be irresistible, irrespective of how pants it may be.

It is the last F1 review I will buy.
Admittedly, I have been saying this since 2002. |

I bet your are daft enough to pay full-price when they are new?
It is far nicer to assume they will suck, thus wait it out until you can get it for pennies, then the pain is far less since you have sacrificed far less. |
