PARITY adjustment mentioned by Brad Jones

Brad Jones mentioned on his radio show 1116 SEN last night

-a parity adjustment for the Falcons was possible after this weekends meeting.

Did anyone who listened to the show add further comment on Brads comments last night!

Crompton mentioned that Lee Dykstra (an old associate of Allan Moffat) had been approached in the US about the possibility of wind tunnel testing for both Falcon and Commodore and a figure of 100 Thousand per vehicle was needed to undertake the exercise.

The consensus was that it was the right thing to undertake and would stop this parity adjustment argument.

$200K for the exercise is not much iun relation to what is spent in the V8 series.

It wont happen as long as it keeps raining at Winton, making the race times inconclusive...

Do they still use the parity formula they had in place before blueprint?

I wonder why most of the Ford teams are on the gold Coast, Are they not serious about racing!! Just partying ;-)

That thought has crossed my mind before too! Let's be honest, Melbourne is the @...hole of the world and they probably work hard to try to forget that they live there. Poor old Mexicans!!!

Also, the cost of commercial premises anywhere convenient to Melbourne metro would be astronomical compared to outer Brisbane or Gold Coast. If you can save a couple hundred grand a year on rent, it's either more profit or increased development budget.

And let's not even bother talking about Sydney's commercial rents!

Practise, qualifying and top 10 were all in miserable cold rain, the race was dry and after a while, there was even some blue stuff and these funny warm rays came through (for a while).

Parity - ah, yes, thats the thing that happens when Holdens are slower than Fords, if I recall.
