Prospeked should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sydney street race mentioned on RPM today?

I missed some chat on RPM today about a possible Sydney street race for the V8 supercars. Can someone fill me in on some details? I have heard rumblings on and off about this for years and thing it would be absoloutly HUGE to have an even say at the olympic site which would be perfect for a race.
Anyone think its possible?

Mr Rust mentioned it for a nanosecond, long enough for Mr Rogers to suggest that Sydney was an untapped market, and that V8Supercars should be doing better in the Sydney market....

The interesting comment from Mr Rust seemed to suggest that the V8s would not be the headline act in an event at the Homebush precinct....

So what other international series could run round the streets of Homebush??

F1
ChampCar
A1GP
IRL
WTCC
FIA GT

...closest shot may be A1GP, considering the use of street circuits in other markets for that series... if it continues of course

If A1 goes there, thats just another series giving EC the snub. Personally i think with Hamilton already confirmed, we can do without an additional street circuit for at least another 5 years...

I think you're right.

(If FIA GT ever do come here, it better be to Bathurst!)
