2008 V8SCFC: Entries and Driver Changes
Team Entries & Changes: Once you’ve picked your driving line-up, give your team a name, announce some sponsors, racing numbers, liveries, grid girls/guys, mascots, overseas technical partners and any other stuff you can think of, and of course your manufacturer of choice, then post here giving a detailed description of the copious quantities of hide your team will kick in the forthcoming season. To make it easy for me, could you please condense the propaganda into this sort of form following your press release: Quote:
Driver Price List You can hire up to 4 drivers to drive your cars, provided that their combined salary comes in below the $2,000,000 Salary Cap. Here is how much they cost: $1,600,000 Rick Kelly Craig Lowndes Garth Tander Jamie Whincup $1,400,000 Steven Richards Mark Skaife Mark Winterbottom $1,200,000 James Courtney Will Davison Steve Johnson Todd Kelly $1,000,000 Lee Holdsworth Russell Ingall Greg Murphy Jason Richards $800,000 Jason Bargwanna Shane van Gisbergen Max WIlson $600,000 Jason Bright Fabian Coulthard Paul Dumbrell Cameron McConville Paul Morris Paul Radisich $400,000 Michael Caruso Alan Gurr Andrew Jones Shane Price Simon Wills $200,000 Marcus Marshall Andrew Thompson Tony d’Alberto Other Drivers If anyone not listed above drives in one of the non-enduro rounds, they will be valued at $200,000. Endurance Drivers Specialist enduro drivers will be available for Phillip Island and Bathurst, same as last year. They will be released about 3 weeks before Phillip Island. Hiring & Firing As Team Owner/Manager, you are permitted to sack any or all of your drivers in the lead-up to a round, and replace them - so long as you don’t blow the salary cap or 4-driver limit. To sack/hire someone, post in the Driver Changes thread expressing your disappointment in your ex-employee(s), and your hopes for your new driver(s). You will only be charged a driver change if your team is different at the next round, so there is scope to change your mind if need be. The deadline for making changes is the start of first practise. However, you can only do this twice during the season. Entries are open as of now, so start issuing those press releases! Your team can be altered without penalty until Adelaide first practise. Comments/suggestions/queries are more than welcome, either here or via PM. May the Fords be with you (or against you as the case may be), Antrodemus Canis Maximus, WOOFVESCO (World Organiser Of Fantasy Vee Eight Supercar Competitions) |

continuation of above.....
Brendon Engineering is pleased to announce it's entry into the V8 Central Fantasy League. Brendon Engineering has signed Kiwi Ace Greg Murphy, Cameron McConville and Micheal Caruso to drive the teams new VE Commodores. The new striking livery & logo unveiled today was designed by none other than DzignFX's V8 Supercar driver Simon Wills, also unveiled today was the drivers and teams suites and merchandise. Brendon Engineering re-signed all it's sponsers from 2007 and added a new one in Jack Daniel's. Team Owner/Principal Brendon had this to say at the launch today: "We are pleased to show you this stricking liverydesigned by Simon and we thank him very much for doing it for us, the cars have been at our workshop since December. Brendon Engineering team suites and merchandise came out great and we hope that the cars are as fast as the design. We are pleased to have signed Murph and rescue McConky from his former employer and it is always great to give a promising young gun ago in Micheal. it is great to have all the sponsers back on board and the addition of Jack Daniels is great, atleast we have a sponsers product to get drunk with after the many wins we have in 2008 (laughs). The team look forward to a strong year with great performances. Hope to see you all in adelaide, BRING IT ON". The teams Championship campaign gets underway at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide from the 21st-24th of Febuary. (applause from the many media and fans attending the launch) a picture taken of the car at the teams launch at their Sydney workshop today: Last edited by Pro Racer; 26 Jan 2008 at 10:49. |

Rookie Team Hits V8 Supercars
Making their V8 debut this year is the much anticipated Archangel Motorsport. Though the team is yet to compete in any such motorsport series as the V8 Supercars, their performance in managing have been strong speculations in regards to the teams performance in other less prestigious events have been competable and as such there have been high expectations of similar results in the upcoming supercar season. "While it is technically true that we're new to this game," quotes the teams owner, "we feel that we have as good a chance as any other team to win the championship this year." The team's long expected arrival to the V8 has not gone unnoticed, and although our reporters and photographers were not allowed to see inside the team garrage just yet, there are rumours that a concept artwork livery for a Ford BF Falcon in Coca-Cola colours was leaked to the media about half way through last years V8 season. When questioned about this image, the team owner made several attempts to change the subject, and made no confirmations regarding any sponsorship deals that the team had signed. "We're keeping that information under wraps as long as we can, but we can tell you that whatever the cars are painted to look like, the're going to look a damn sight better than any concept artwork!" Regardless of this secretive nature, reliable sources have been able to verify that Archangel Motorsport will be running 2 BF Falcons in the upcoming season, than that these vehicles are to be driven by a couple of well known names in the V8 racing industry, Mark Winterbottm and Jason Bright. Line-Up: #42 - Mark Winterbottom #43 - Jason Bright Manufacturer: Ford |

Good to see so many familiar faces, and some new ones too!
In case you were wondering, the late announcements not already on the price list, such as Michael Patrizi, are all $200,000. |

24 hours since launching and there is turbulence for Brendon Engineering, the team have announced that Greg Murphy has left the team after a fight with Team Owner/Manager Brendon over the new cars that incolved police being called. Turning a sad point into a happy point, Brendon Engineering has announced their expansion to 4 cars and in doing so has picked up Paul Dumbrell, Dumbrell no stranger to the team having driven for them back in 2006. The 4th car planned as a spare will be used for new young gun Andrew Thompson, the team is retaining one of their 2007 chassis to perform the duties of a spare car. When asked about the split with Greg Murphy Brendon replied "i have no comment on this matter and would like to focus on the positives, which are expanding to 4 cars signing Paul Dumbrell to join the team again and signing another young gun." Brendon Engineering is now finnishing the build of the 4th car which along with the other 3 new cars make it's first track appearence at Easern Creek at an official test day on Friday Febuary 1st, the cars will make their championship debut at the Clipsal 500 on Febuary 21st - 24th.
New Team Line-up: #14 - Cameron McConville #16 - Paul Dumbrell #34 - Micheal Caruso #50 - Andrew Thompson |
