Miracle Motorsports to run Courage C65 factory chassis at RA
They'll run the Lola as well. Thoughts and opinions on what this will bring to the P2 class?

Not only will they crush the other P2 cars they will be a serious contender for the last step on the overall podium...
Is this a one race deal or are they planning on buying a C65 soon? |

That's why there was a chap in a Miracle Motorsports jacket walking around the paddock on Friday. This is good news for the championship.

that is good news, and yes, if the car stays in one piece (and since to beat the other P2 cars it pretty much has to idle for 3hrs) it will stomp the field and if there are any P1 problems, it could contend for either side steps on the podium

A Courage AER would be really tough for the 2 or 3 Lolas and whatever Pilbeam is doing.

We have an intierview with John Macaluso on our site (new today) and I have to say he is the most upbeat, positive man I have heard in a long time. It's such a joy to hear someone who knows where he is going and is not waiting around for someone else to get him there! Miracle Racing is a good name for them; and I am one who will be cheering for a Le Mans Miracle for them, too.

The news are even better for Courage, according to Laurent Chauveau's Infocourse... Courage sold TWO cars to a quite known team who didn't enter the LMES this year... which one ? This team will enter the LMES and LM in 2005...
Notice that the sold car (to Miracle) was the one on the track at Silverstone. Due to the work in progress, Courage will enter only one car at Spa. Last edited by Fab; 19 Aug 2004 at 14:58. |

Looked like a seriously quick and well-screwed-together car at Silverstone. It'll add some real backbone to P2 across the Pond and I can't see why it should be much slower (on pure technical grounds) than the Dyson Lola-AERs. If it holds together - which it should - I reckon it'll be right on the heels of the P1s.

Could this new Courage team be ORECA? What have they been up to lately?

Oreca were on standby with Prost waiting for a Maserati... Don't know what will happen with that, but they also race De Chaunac Junior and Prost Junior in French F. Renault (without great success I think) They're also involved in the upgrade to the Formula Nissan car, and in many other consultancy projects. They won't do something unless there's money to make or someone's paying for the effort.
