It has to be Hamilton. Just in a class of his own today. It made up for Monaco.
Special mention to Bottas. Did a sterling job and managed to keep Kimi at bay. It's also his first podium of the season. Good stuff - especially as the Williams isn't as competitive as it was last year. Vettel was good - but unfortunately the TV feed didn't show a lot of his moves today. |

Jenson, of course, for a masterly display of true-Brit stiff upper lip and for not succumbing to the temptation to belay Ron Dennis with a jack handle.

Tricky one this week.
Hamilton? Dominated everything. Who knows how much faster he could have gone? Boring choice though. Raikkonen? Generated more tyre smoke in two seconds than the rest of the grid did all weekend. No. Maldonado? Did better than he has done all season. But that doesn't say much. Vettel? Excellent charge through the field. Definitely a contender. Verstappen? I enjoyed watching him. Has no-one explained to him that F1 cars are supposed to look boring? Bottas? Best of the rest. He's the real deal, but the Canadian result was mostly about playing to the Williams' strengths. Gave it to Lulu. |

Has to to be Vettel, did a bad pit strategy in getting off those super softs after only 8 laps then spending an extra 5 secs in the pits and having to overtake everyone all over again. Yet still only finished 5s behind his teammate, who was in clean air the entire race and pitted the same number of times (except at better points in the race).
Hamilton? He spent most of the race with his teammate within 2s of him. If Nico led into the first corner, he would have won. The first thing you have to do to earn DOTR is convincingly beat your team, and Hamilton didn't do that. Bottas? He did do a better job than Massa, but was lucky to beat Kimi and did play to the strengths of the Williams straight line speed. Although, having said that, Massa was only 16s behind him and made an extra pit stop. So perhaps those two were pretty even on their performances. Verstappen? Argh, I don't want to turn into a babyvers hater, but for god sake he finished almost 20s behind his teammate, well, all 3 of his teammates were ahead of him. He was the weak link in the RB/TR chain in this race, he can't possibly be considered for DOTR. All he beat were Nasr and Stevens. Maldonado? Well, on paper it would be a good drive, but don't forget his teammate would have finished quite some way in front of him if he didn't pull a bonehead move lapping Stevens. He wasn't as fast as Grosjean overall. Kyvat? He did a good drive actually. The fastest of those without a Merc or Ferrari engine, a long way ahead of all his teammates. |

Takes some strength of character to tell the team the strategy from the seat of the car. Perhaps Mr Alonso knew the Honda wouldnt survive the distance, so saving fuel was a moot point. You can polish a turd all you like, but its still fundamentally a turd, and you still have turd remnants on your polishing rag |

A tough one, but eventually gave it to Vettel as his performance was far better than his team mate, and he had to work through the field and did that significantly better than anyone else.
Plus he is supportive of grid girls, not grid guys! |

Vettel, Hamilton, Bottas and Maldonado were all very good. I gave it to Bottas because he just quietly did the job and finally Williams have a 2015 podium.

Oooh, Hamilton? Bottas? Vettel? Hulkenberg or Maldonado perhaps?
Well I think Massa, for providing some nice overtaking and the odd drift. |

As this often seems like a 'Who is your favourite driver' thread I have voted for my mate Felipe Massa, and he did put in a sterling drive without some of the dramas of Seb Vettel, who, for me. was a very close second.
On the other hand Max ........ |

Gave it to Massa over Vettel mainly because I believe the Ferrari to be a better car. Kudos to Lewis and Vettel though.

Not really, just because he brought a Williams, a team I have always had admiration for, to a Podium finish.
