My Tracks Challenge: Racetown Street Circuit

The Racetown local council, has approved the use of it's unqiue streets - for a street circuit in the Harbourside district of the town. These are the roads available;

And here is the key for it;

---

Use this to create a street circuit within the city, the council have approved a number of start-finish line's so you must use only one, you can drive past other proposal sites, but mark off you chosen pitlane by added a start finish line.

---

Here is my effort;

---

So, get busy

That's nice mate, but you must only use the given streets - and an existing pit-lane the council have approved. i.e the ones already on the mao, but all the same a nice track

Nice challenge, dude, but judging from the lenght of your proposed pit lanes, the scale of your track is a bit too long.

I'm afraid that while I like street circuits if they are done well I would find it very hard to do a good street course on that layout, ther just aren't enough flowing complexes. Whatever you try you will end up with a circuit that is largely made up of slow corners and hairpins, which is ok if that is what you like, but I just like my street tracks to have more variety (eg Macau). Also, it may be possible to get good complexes but it is hard to figure them out without a scale to measure how flowing they would be. Just an estimate on the length of the main straight would be nice. Without that I would have to build a couple of extra roads in the park areas, nothing major, just something to ease it up slightly. Also (sorry) could I ask for a link road to be put in next to the pier, over the man road & to the next road in, as I feel that this would give a few more options on the circuit.

Ok mate, well we'll say the main straight on the right hand side next to the sea is about 0.6 miles, and if you want to add link roads mate then fair enough go for it

Ausracefan, you should upload your image first. We can't see images on your own hard drive. Try using imageshack.us. It's very easy. Just upload your file and copy the code it generates into the reply box, here.
