David Thexton Wins 2003 Bob Jane Tmarts 1000
Folks - No I couldnt believe it either.
Today I was in town, helping a mate clear up the store room of a Pub in which a few of us have invested. In the store room was an old "Chook Raffle" Drawing machine. Like they use to draw grid positions for the Brutes. I took custody of the device, took all of the little balls out of it and proceeded to write the numbers for the 40 entrants of the BJTM 1000 on them. Then after inserting the Balls back in the Wire Dome and giving the handle a spin, one of the Girls that works for us began to list the numbers as each was drawn out in the POSSIBLE Finishing Order for Sundays Race is it an omen or just wishful thinking. Heres how they "Fell". 99 17 11 3 31 66 8 89 021 4 19 50 72 888 6 24 13 45 59 1 15 75 20 5 2 21 10 51 16 29 9 18 44 69 23 46 34 55 65 33 I reckon there will be at least 25 dnfs through Mechanical or Accident so cars 21 and beyond would be the DNFS with 33 been the first. I hope for speedys dake this little Gambling Prediction wasnt too far off the mark. |

Poor old Speedy... he did have 2 pitstops during that short 35 minute session... why I have no idea
What was that about parking the truck with the prime mover still attached? |

Voighty's only 10sec, what was the predicted margin of error from pole position required to make the cut?

Speedy needs to do a 2.16 or better to qualify, in any session... he is only 13 seconds off for now

He's within a second so not bad for a first run on assuming old tyres, well previously marked anyway.
Then again he may have put some stickers on to see how close he was to the mark.Only to have none left for Q1 His best bet now is for rain as he has a time that will be well with in the 107 should it be wet. |

What is the quota he needs to reach for him to enter the race?
F1 used to have 107% of the pole setter's time in qualifying, what does Bathurst have though? |

Its normally 105% for VCS rounds, for Sandown and Bathurst its 107%.
And that is per driver, not per car |
