Im sure this meeting will be remembered for years to come. Everything about it was fantastcic - the racing, the organisation, the atmosphere. It was by far the best meeting i have ever been to.
I dont know...but if this is how racing was back in the 'good old days' then lets keep it that way. |

Its nice to think there's someone at the BRDC who's pushing/working so hard to get such races organised. I'll have to keep my car with more than 3 wheels on for longer next season and have a go! Cheers James, it was even good as a spectator!

I've been to every F3 meeting this year, including the Marlboro Masters and the Spa trip, but the WHT was more enjoyable than any of them!I loved the atmosphere in the paddock, the BRDC Suite and the raw,down-to-earth attitude of alot of motorsport addicts just having some fun.The whole event lacked that cynical commercial feel and demonstated that 'Real' motorsport is still alive and kicking! - A concept totally beyond Mr.Ecclestone's comprehension!F1 would be far better off in the hands of people like James Beckett!

What a brilliant weekend for Formula Ford.
I have never been to an event with so much buzz and charisma. The BRDC and Silverstone showed everyone what can be done with the help of the 'E' word. Nope, not Ecclestone but Enthusiasm. Every single person we met was friendly, helpful and enthusiastic, from the security guys on the gate, who always seemed to be smiling, the marshalls, the officials and the competitors. In particular, I must congratulate JEB on his efforts which demonstrated just what can be done in these times of supposed 'struggling grids'. The racing was fantastic, the organisation was superlative and even the weather provided entertainment. JEB, keep the format exactly the same for next year (eg dont split the races into classes), and I am sure that grids will be well in excess of 150. Finally, Thanks to JYS and Mrs Hayes for attending - it really did add that final touch of credibility and prestige to the event. Well done and thanks to everyone. (Well maybe not to Danny Watts! ) |

Well done James for doing a fine job this weekend.
That Joey Foster's not a bad driver is he!!! Apart from Joey I have 2 drivers of the day. Justin Dawkins in Semi 2 and Stu Gough for the final. My weekend went from bad to worse with hitting the pitwall and shattering my new bell housing. It maybe time to call it quits. RR77 |

Brilliant James - well done and thanks for your help.
I could only attend Saturday, but thanks to all concerned and especially the WHT drivers for some fantastic racing, FF as it should be. The support races too, thanks to Dave Brodie for his vision in keeping the 8clubs races alive. Just makes you realise more and more what a pile of pants FF Zetec is! |

I have a started a similar thread in teh Historic section - the 8 Clubs race was a lot of fun and racing against modern cars on modern rubber not as one sided as I thought it would be (apart from the Mallocks!!) I definately look fwd toi next year, well done and thanks James!

Great racing all weekend, Justin Dawkins was very impressive in his semi -well done to him! I would have expected more of a challenge from Danny Watts in the final, he just wasn't a match for Joey Foster on the day... the whole weekend (especially beating Danny) must have done Joey the world of good as he sorts out a possible F3 drive for next year. - the question now is will Joey come back for a 3rd time to defend his title?!?!?

Very funny watch&learn.
key phrase: "I would have expected more of a challenge from Danny Watts in the final" Let's hope Joey get's the F3 drive he deserves though... Last edited by JohnMiller; 8 Nov 2004 at 12:05. |
