DAB in your classic

Don't listen to the radio much in the classic, but sometimes I do end up driving on a dull road to get somewhere. I fancy one of these:

Any good?

Also, I'm not that keen on the aerial. Does anyone have any experience of in car aerials?

I've got a Mk2 Jag with an original radio which is rubbish (no FM), but rather than go dab I'm thinking of something like more like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-ca...item1e62728662

Thoughts?

Experience generally with DAB suggests that aerial quality is one of the key needs. I doubt they would have gone to the trouble of an active aerial unless that was necessary to deliver acceptable performance.

I've been wondering about something like that too. Not least because the current radio isn't really suited to the car. Neither new nor classic.

It probably would do as I would have to get some classic radio for that DAB jobbie.

I agree. I have a pure DAB FM transmitter. It isn't that good with the aerial in the car.

The best is factory fit and every car I've had with factory fit has been great. Gives me my fix of 6 records and Planet Rock.

If Radio Le Mans had a DAB presence I would have this in the classic already for the drive down. I wouldn't mind the aerial for the one trip.
