Well thanks for that Crash! Upholder of the fourth estate!

To the rest of us uneducated observers (ie. punters) they are less than adequate.

Jeremy's a heck of a bloke, doesn't mean I like his commentry style though It probably stems back to the fact that I like Page/Johnstone more...

Diffey has been known to settle down when nothing exciting is happening. If it's a great race, then I feel he has every right to go off his nut, but if it's a boring procession, you've got to use some discression and turn down the volume control a bit.

OK Crash... Some (semi)serious dialogue...

Diffey is the worst form of fool. One who believes that vacuous noise is better than informed comment. Just be quite. Let the race evolve of it's own doing and then - make informed comment. Don't beieve that commentary equals informaed comment. That is ...

"lets's have a sisten...blah blah blah twelve grand... blah blah blah"

We could all do better than that!

Yeah but Jeremy Shaw knows his stuff... I wish Diffey (and now Pruett it would seem) wouldnt talk over him. What happened to David Hobbs son? he was a better partner for Shaw. btw did you know Shaw used to race himself? I have an Autospurt from 1983 with him entered in a Clubmans car for a Thundersports race.....

Having been introduced to Leigh Diffey's superbike commentary in 2000, I can safely say that he is superb as a commentator on bikes, although his knowlegde of Indycars will obviously take time to increase to the level of Shaw or Ben Edwards. Give him time.

I'm not questioning Shaw's knowledge as I'm told he's an excellent writer. His commentary just rubs me up the wrong way big time. His babbling, tripping over his own tounge talking to fast commentary is destroying the viewing experience of CART for me.

This year I have not been able to fully sit through one CART race because of this imcompetant commentary Channel 10 here in Australia forces upon us. They did it at the beginning of last year and changed back the Page/Johnstone after fan baclash.

Go to the RPM website now and look how many people are complaining about the commentary now and Channel 10 just don't see mto care.
