Single Seater Experience Days

Any recommendations for which would be the best to get a taste of an FF with full guidance and assistance?
I'm looking at the Silverstone days but there are physical restrictions on height and weight (I hit the height max and I'm not too far off the weight)
I know I can fit into one, thanks to Justin Dawkins for that

Have a word with ARDS at Three Sisters in Wigan. They have FF's for the fuller figure

I'm sure Everyman at Mallory have cars you will fit Paul. Give you a good idea of Gerrards as well as FF1600?

Try Aintree RDS at 3 Sisters www.racing-school.co.uk or Anglesey Performance Driving Centre at [you've guessed] Anglesey link from www.anglesey-race-circuit.co.uk Both use Formula Fords with ample space for folks larger than you Paul.

Everyman one looks good too thanks John...is there a dive rescue squad available to get you out of the lake if necessary??

Tell you what Paul. Do it at Mallory and you drive the car and I'll come along and take some pictures for you for a change...

I remember someone wanting to try my Vauxhall Lotus at Silverstone last year to see if he fitted it (I was selling it). He got in alright but got completely stuck and we couldn't get him out - 2 minutes before practice started!

Paul, glad to amuse.

Diz, you'll have to let me know what Anglesey's school have and do - just out of interest.

That was my concern in Justins car on Sunday...but then again I was trying to get out with steering wheel attached
I'll spend the next three weeks in France swimming riding and playing tennis and come back all svelte and fit...ohhh hang on that will be counterbalanced by all the cheese Ricard and wine

Much the same as most schools Mike, but I like to think better. It has one helluva good co-ordinator. You should have picked up a brochure on Sunday. Still, you can order one from the website.

Paul, bike racing, kart racing, single venue rallies, etc., yes, but car racing - no. It is ideal for race school purposes though. It used to have one helluva good co-ordinator.

Thanks Diz, I never see school cars there - do they run FF's? I'll get a leaflet next time.

Three Sisters also run very good sprints - usually with lots of FF's

J. I see the car is entered at this week ends sprint event at Anglesey: is this the car's last outing by its current owner? As I'm going along, shall I keep an eye on it for you ?

Hi Swift

We swapped cars last weekend so he's up in the RF86.

Give Silverstone Racing School a try

If you call the racing school at Silverstone rather than the gift experience side of things, they are a little more accommodating. 01327 320412

A test on the Stowe Circuit costs approx. £250 for a hours driving.

Before you commit to booking you can arrange an appointment for a seat fitting instead of sticking to rigid rules regarding size.
