Codemasters have just said about its new Grid game and it is called Grid Autosport.

all sorts of racing cars will be in the game which come out in June for the xbox 360/ PS3 and PC like a Aussie V8 supercar or a single seater

so far in the tralier I have see three GP tracks that will be in the game Yas Marnia, Hockenheim and Sepang

also if you want to get your anger mood out then DD is there from the get go this time.

and of course Race NeT will bi in play for online mode

It looks promising, but game play would have to be vastly improved over the previous titles for me to be interested. It doesn't need to be a simulator, but vaguely realistic would be good.

Looks like S2000 spec touring cars will be in too, I saw the Global Focus, Cruze and 320si in the trailer.

Drifting included again. Does anyone above the age of thirteen enjoy that mode?

Street racing is what gets me down. Another 90-degree yawnfest with unrealistic tyre walls to cause incidents. Not fun.

I agree wholeheartedly with the above. Trouble is though if the touring car type racing on circuits is even half way sensible I can see me buying this. As long as you don't have to do the drifting and street racing in order to progress of course.

I am well aware that at this point it's all so much PR guff, but this bit from the announcement on their blog gives me room for cautious optimism:

If you’re a Touring Car fanatic then by all means find a home within the Touring section, and never leave. If you love the precision of Open Wheel racing and also enjoy the odd bit of Endurance then you can happily bounce between the two.

If this happens, I never have to go near drift or street events, then I'm at least interested. After the garbage that was Grid 2 that's as enthusiastic as I can get for now.

I enjoyed Grid 2 a lot, so I'm eager to play this one.

Now, I don't understand Codemasters. They release Grid 1, then Dirt 2, then Dirt 3, then Grid 2, then Grid 3. They should alternate between the two franchises.

Gymkhana is the rally equivalent of drifting.

Cool so no licences for BTCC, WTCC, DTM, Aussie V8, etc, just fictional championship, fictional drivers again. So disappointed, it sounded so promising.

Ten, fifteen years ago, you had full BTCC, F1, Indycar, rally, MotoGP, World Superbike, etc sims dedicated to the fans, now you just have endless street racing, drifting, primary coloured comic book racing, yawn. How can things have gone backwards so much? Rant over sorry.
