Why does the ALMS need to pospond this classification?Under the LMP1 rules last years cars would have more power then the new cars.

ALMS and IMSA have decided to use the 2003 rules for 2004 instead of the new ones to keep some stability and let the prototype field grow. They will update their rules next year.
