HSCC Historic Festival Brands Hatch 28/29 June 2008
The Autoglym HSCC Historic Festival
Venue:Brands HatchEvent Date:Saturday 28 June to Sunday 29 June 2008 Raceday HISTORIC F1 RETURNS TO BRANDS HATCH The spectacular amphitheatre of the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit will once again see genuine F1 cars in fierce competition at the Autoglym HSCC Historic Festival on 28 and 29 June 2008. The Festival’s headline event is the FIA Historic Formula One Championship, reviving the glory days of F1 from 1966 to 1985. The competing cars are just as they were when driven by heroes like Gilles Villeneuve, Nigel Mansell and Emerson Fittipaldi. But it’s not just F1 that makes the Autoglym Historic Festival an unmissable event – there is a full and varied programme of historic racing on BOTH days – and a host of attractions for all the family. Wander round the open paddock and you’ll have the chance to get up close to the cars and drivers in one of the UK’s biggest historic meetings, with classic saloon cars, sports cars and single-seaters. Event Lineup FIA Historic Formula One Championship Orwell Supersports cup 70s Road Sports Historic Road Sports Historic Racing Saloon Championship Historic Formula Ford Championship Classic Racing Car Championship Classic Formula 3 Derek Bell Trophy Formula Junior Please accept my apologies....the excitement is building over here and I just couldn't wait any longer for someone to start a thread Yours in Motorsport, Mick Last edited by 275 GTB-4; 5 Jun 2008 at 12:31. |

Nice one, Al!! Just a small point, your second post 24 should be post 25 (the relocated former post 1), current post 1 being my domain - I bet you did that just to get a reaction.

Mick,
I've suggested to Mildred that it would be nice if you could do post 14 on Saturday and post 4 on Sunday. The post allocation is not up to me, but hopefully Mildred can work her magic. |

If I could choose a post for both days it would be 23.
Who do I have to bribe? Seriously... can I be on 23? Just sent a begging email to Mildred. Hope it works. Last edited by tubbylardo; 10 Jun 2008 at 19:40. |

I got a better one than that. Do the bus run past Brands as i got a bus pass and it would not cost me a penny. |

Hi All
Just had confirmation from Mildred that this weekend will be my first taster of marshalling and just wanted to give a heads up that you will be getting a total novice annoying you and asking hundreds of inane questions! You have been warned!!!! Seriously though, looking forward to meeting some of you! Cheers treaclesponge |

Superbikes @ Mallory for me - walking distance as opposed to a 200 mile round trip!

You've chosen a good one to start with treacle, I'm sure you'll enjoy it wherever Mildred puts you.

You can add Abba Kogans Matra MS670 to the Orwell grid... unless it rains of course like at Masters.... (!).

I had a lad doing his first ever day on Sunday, but obviously was'nt you, the American accent kind of indicated he was'nt from Swanley. Mick (275 etc) seemed impressed, posts 5 & 17 in the end, gave him 2 very different views of the circuit. If we'd had more Minis racing I think he'd never have gone home.... Wonderful selection of Formula Juniors, impressed me more than the HFOs. |
