MrLipid should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
For those who own a copy of Spirit of Speed and are interested in what it might feel like to drive Brooklands at 250+ MPH, the streamliner files developed for SOS37 are available HERE for download.

In addition to the streamliner files, you'll also get a new version of the english.tc file which runs the menu system of SOS37. In addition to giving you immediate access to the streamliners, the new english.tc file has been completely rewritten to offer additional information on the cars and tracks of SOS37.

There is a more recent version of the english.tc file that generates a proper time grid at the completion of a scenario. Anyone interested can contact me at sosofflineleague@motorsportgaming.com and I'll send it to you.

Looks like it pays to advertise. The streamliner files have been downloaded 40 times in the past ten days. Not bad for a collection of unfinished cars created for a title that's been out since 1999. And, with any luck, the SOS37 patch will be out within the next few weeks. No telling what effects the patch will have. Good ones, one hopes!

Even though I'm not playing the game at the moment, I certainly hope it and the patch will be successful. I shall certainly give it a try, as and when I get the time to sort it all out.

Thanks for the kind words, Aysedasi. I know the folks at Broadsword Interactive (and the fans of SOS37) appreciate the sentiment.

The streamliner files have just hit 60 downloads in two and a half weeks! Amazing!

(Anyone out there who has downloaded them care to comment?)

Happy Holidays!

M Coupe should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Just downloaded them about an hour ago.

First impressions are FINALLY, I've always wanted to try out the streamliners, looks good at Brooklands and especially at Avus. They struggle a bit on the road courses as the acceleration isn't great, still managed 215mph around Monthelery in the Merc.

As for the graphics, they look okay apart from one thing, I feel the shadows etc are over done, looks like the car is flashing.

Thanks for making it available, cars actually feel like the handle better, the AU streamliner is the first car I've got round the Avus banking at over 100mph without crashing.

The only problem with the streamliners is that the cockpit of the Auto Union looks a bit odd, like missing the left part.. (I like to drive with cockpit view...)

The fact that the streamliner cockpits are unfinished gives you some idea how abruptly the work on them ended. I suspect the word came down from the publisher and everything just stopped.

When I finally got my hands on the streamliner files, they were still filled with numerous backup files from different tunings of various bits.

Still, AVUS and Brooklands at 250+ with bumper view is somewhat compelling, no? Happy Holidays!

It really feels fast... One really notices more the bumps at Brooklands at 240 than at 180!

No word on the patch, so it looks like 2003.

In other news, 'Liner downloads have just hit 90!

Anyone wanting the latest english.tc and 'liner scenarios, write me at sosofflineleague@motorsportgaming.com.

If you plan to drink and drive on New Year's Eve, make sure you're driving SOS37!

Happy New Year!

In the past five days, 'liner downloads have jumped to 119!

Here's hoping we'll have the opportunity to drive the 'liners with a patched EXE sometime soon!

In the last ten days, another 35 downloads of the 'liners. That brings the total to 237.

And still no sign of the patch.
