Race schedule
Been looking at proposed schedule for race meeting at Pembrey over the Bank Holiday weekend.
I guess racers in the FF2000 or Porsche Open series will not be happy with a Saturday qualifying slot and Sunday race. Post Historics are on track 3 times on Saturday (2 quals and a race). Last year at Lydden the Pre90 Touring Cars were scheduled as second qualifying session on Saturday with the race being last one on track Sunday. Has anyone else examples of such bad planning? |

I presume that is a BARC Classic week-end, normally we would have been there, but our FF2000 is seriously busted.
There was a similar lack of fore-thought at Snetterton on the 12th and 13th meeting. A double header was organised for the Single Seater formula which is notoriously short of entries to be run entirely on Sunday. The BARC Renaults were also running on Sunday and most tested Friday and sat there all Saturday with nothing to do. The SS formula was cancelled with only three entries, whereas if it had been run on Saturday could have been propped up with about 9 Renaults. |
