Richard Duvall should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
A good weekends racing (even in the wet Saturday) was spoilt for me by the lack of consideration shown to marshals by the Lotus Festival organisers who had a very noisy band playing until the early hours of the morning in a marquee next door to our marshals campsite. I like to get a good nights sleep before giving my services to facilitate their racing; this is one that I will not support in the future!

Thanks to the team on P9 over the weekend for all their efforts and assistance plus the good work with getting the cars off end of session. A small team but a pleasure to work with you all.

Some good racing over the two days so thanks to those involved.

See folks around

Didn't have so much of a problem with the band, it was more the fact that their temporary toilets had the overflow pipe running into the marshals campsite....

Not the fault of Lotus on Track I'm afraid. LOT always look after marshals and have done for many years.

First off thanks for everyone who attended - as ever you are greatly appreciated.

I'm very sorry about the two comments above.

The band should have finished at 11pm which was way before curfew. I returned to the paddock from the MSV centre at about midnight and didn't hear anything - but the weather was terrible so must admit to not stopping to check.

With regards to the overflow pipe i had no idea this had been put there. You can have my assurances that if someone had said something it would have been moved immediately.

There will be changes next year and as a result of this I'll ensure that someone from both us (LoT/LoTRDC) and MSV checks both campsites on a regular basis. I'll also ensure that my mobile number and that of security is left for you should there be any issues at all.

As a club we do try and ensure we support marshals around the country, generally making much more of an effort than most i believe. i've even personally thanked every single marshal on circuit more than once and we actually offered to again last weekend so sorry to have let you down. It won't happen again.

Seems a fair response Sir.

I was only there on Sunday and didn't camp.

But did have a great day's marshalling on Post 10.

I know nothing about any curfew, but I think it would be reasonable for it to be quiet by 11pm to facilitate a good nights sleep before a long day trackside. The din did seem to stop around 11:30 which lulled me into a false sense of security as it started up again 10 mins later only to finally stop at 12:30am! Nice to know it will be OK next year; I'll think about coming.

To be honest I didn't notice the pipe until Sunday evening while packing up, wondered why it was a little damp underfoot in places, but no real harm done. Thanks for your responses, will look forward to marshaling more LoT/LoTRDC meetings
