2018 FIA F2 Silly Season
I thought it was probably time to get this going, the obvious rumour is Gelael to Prema, quite who joins him there is another matter though, maybe Nato? Also where will Norris and Russell end up, DAMS dream team perhaps?

Hopefully some if the seasoned journeymen clear off but teams need money. |

Question is to know if FDA is choosing its drivers from his wallet or from his talent, IMHO a guy like Ghiotto impressed more than Illot this season.
On the other hand i read somewhere that Lando Norris was very close to have a deal with Prema for next year F2 but Stroll Snr vetoed it . Beside Gelael at Prema (if Confirmed) it should Rowland or Nato |

Much depends on whether Ferrari still want/need to pay for 2 drivers in F2? Rowland may struggle for budget if Renault and RSF don't continue to support him? If he can't get a Prema seat, he may as well stick with DAMS. Although Racing Engineering like to pair an experienced driver with a newcomer so that might be another option? |

De Vries should be at Prema with Gelael.
Ilott, having paid to join the FDA, presumably set for his 4th season at F3/GP3 levrl |

Since Joel Eriksson is the first runner up for the European Formula 3 , he also can participate Formula 2 with Arden International as Sean Gelael move to Prema plus his brother Jimmy also participate F2 before since 2016 with Arden International as well with the same sponsorship with his brother.

The case to now:
Fortec wants to enter F2 in 2018 Norris and Russell are likely to drive for ART. Norris originally wanted to drive for Prema, but Lawrence Stroll voted against Norris. Prema now with Sean Gelael and Nyck de Vries or Oliver Rowland. I would make a list of how it seems to this point now but my lists are not wanted here. |

I find that hard to believe. They just left a year ago.
Norris has plenty of options on where to take his money. Prema, DAMS, ART GP. |

Autosport web reports that Masashi Yamamoto (Honda) had visited Mexico GP for F2 seat negotiation for Nirei Fukuzumi.
Fukuzumi was about to contract with ART. But negotiations were scrapped by ART. ART doesn't even give an answer mail to Honda. Thanks to Yamaoto, Fukuzumi will participate in F2 from "medium rank team" next season. http://www.as-web.jp/f1/176497?all |

That's because ART will run Norris and Russell.

Guess this means the end of the 3.5 V8 series. They are already down to a dozen or so cars and now the two best teams are joining another series.
