hmmm
My toddler seems to have recognised and identified the colour orange faster than any other! Should I be worried?!? My wife seems to think that it's something to do with her obsession with traffic lights, but I'm not so sure!

No, you shouldn't be worried at all. Children learn bright colours much faster than all the others. Think about it: orange is the colour of his/her favourite juice, carrots (which are extremely good for toddlers), and very likely the colour he/she sees his/her paternal parent wearing most. Might I suggest that you surprise him/her one day by wearing another colour outfit just to test the reaction? However, don't be surprised if your toddler screams, hides behind mummy and asks who the strange man is. Acceptance may take a little time but with patience you will win through. Love, Auntie Sheila PS I'm sorry I referred to your toddler as him/her but you weren't specific as to gender. |
