2001 Spanish Grand Prix
Can anybody remember why Mika and DC were fined after the 01 Spanish GP, the race that Mika was leading until he blew up on the last lap? Was it because Mika hitched a ride with DC on the sidepods of his car - somehing they used to do regularly in F1 in the 1970s/1980s?
Any help appreciated! |

That could be it - although i remember the year after, TGF offered his teammate a lift on his victory lap. Of course, in both circumstances they could have been wrong.

Didn't it have something to do with "stopping on the track during the race"...
ie. DC had not actually finished the race yet (I could be wrong here though...) DKGandBH |

FIA beaurocrats! Track invasions and drivers riding on sidepods should be mandantory at all races!!!
