Have you noticed the deliberate mistake on the timetable?

As in the date!

Apparently only 4 entered (from other sources) so the organisers canned it.

Still looking forward to it even if the organisers can't persuade the F1 owners to use the cars as they should be used.
Just thinking about the figures, 12 teams each year, minimum 3 cars per team (more like 10), started 1950, that's 62 years x 12 teams x 3 cars per team = 2232 formula one cars (minimum) have been built. Surely a couple of dozen could have been found. Oh well, As I don't own one I'm not really in a position to comment so I'll shut up eh? (although if someone wants to pop one round I will get it to the grid)

From what I heard is that the HFO drivers can only do so many meetings in the UK and running this weekend would have taken them over the days now that they are supporting BGP.

Apparently there are 34 for the GP support so should be worth the wait!

I'm on the funbus for this one KB. We've got an away trip in the sarf-east for the weekend.

Problem is, we've not got our resident translator with us this weekend.

Looking forward to a good visit, F1 race or not. The Tourers will make up for those being missing.

Was coming for the wekend but a hospital procedure today requires me to rest for 2 days. Pity because it looks a good line up despite the absence of Historic F1s. Might make come for the day on Sunday if I feel OK as I gather numbers are low due to FOS.

If you need a translator on sunday I should be able to help. I lived up in the 'north' for a while and even learned what a barm cake was, so just give me a shout if you need anything. :

Nice one Benj.

So if you see a bunch of northerners wandering about looking lost, that's us lol. (we may have flatcaps on)

We do have one of our crew who has been all over the world and seen foreigners and everything, so we might get by.

Unless Mr Haystacks has a prior commitment he should be able to help with translating etc because he's from up norf.

Interesting weekend. Mostly enjoyable but as usual for HSCC an over-optomistic timetable. This kind of arrangement suits nobody. Marshals kept on post right to the curfew both days without a lunchbreak. Competitors short changed with curtailed races both days.

HSCC needs to respect all parties involved. Don't even publish a lunch break if you are going to insist on marshals remaining on post. Spoken with Grahame White about this several times but message doesn't get home.

Maybe one of the reasons why there was a relatively low turnout. Might be lower still if HSCC continue in the current way of doing things.

Best memories of the weekend - Michael Lyons awesome performance in Derek Bell Trophy Lapped all but second place man on Sunday. Martin Stretton and Martin O'Connell utterly thrashing the F2 opposition on Sunday afternoon. Wet/Dry/Wet/Dry/Wet/Dry????

I was only there on Sunday.
I think your being a bit harsh, nobody can predict what happened in the Formula Ford race, which coursed a long delay.
I also think it should be pointed out that the curfew at Brands on both days is 6.30pm which in my view is not late.
The one thing about marshalling at Brands is that you know you will not be later than that.
I think if your the sort of person who wants to go earlier, If you go there thinking that we Finnish at 6.30 and then get away early then that's a bonus
And just to add I enjoyed my day and will go again.

Some really good racing and some great cars, the Brands weather throwing a little something in the mix too.
The trick with breaks seems to be not to plan to leave the post for lunch, there was plenty of time to have a sit down and something to eat, pity that the lunch break was spent worrying about the people up at post 13, I understand that all involved are ok and I'm sure that we would all like to thank the assistance of the Kent Air Ambulance (which is always a salutary sight, but even more so when it lands right in front of you)

Would like to thank all my fellow marshals on post 13a for a good day even with the ff1600 incident. Thank to posts 13 & 14 for their help in the accident and clear up. And finally thanks to the medical and rescue crews.
Would also like to add the thoughts of me ,my wife and I am sure haystacks and Chris from 13 a are with the driver and his family and fellow racers. Hope that he will make a full and speedy recovery.

Was a great weekend. Enjoyed both sat an Sunday. As for the timetable, don't think it could be helped on the Sunday. Saturday was on post 6. We just rotated break. Was only 3 of us on post anyway. Sunday was on post 19, another great day with Paul, Mark an the wife. Thoughts go out to the two drivers in the 'big' accident by 13a. Speedy recovery I hope!!!!
Will def do this event again.
