Taku 5th at Suzuka

Here is another painting I did before Christmas.
It was commissioned by the HRC Racing Palace in Tokyo and painted to a small A3 size.
It was to be a print and postcard for the Japanese market but Taku's change of employment to BAR has prevented this. Let's hope that testing goes well for Taku and he quickly gets back on the F1 grid!

Great job! It looks like a win for Jordan rather than a 5th place!

Hopefully Jordan will be able to repeat these feats. And hopefully Taku will be back, (although I hope he doesn't take Jacques' place!)

And the Jordan EJ12 was a beautiful racing machine, too!

Great stuff as always! If I wasn't a student and tight on cash you'd be getting a phone call from me!

if that Suzuka Painting was to be made to a print for sale , then Andrew would be getting a call from me too, but as he has said it wont be put to a print , i wont drag him away from his studio to hear me droaning on about what a talent i think Takuma is !

Thanks very much - glad you like it!
I guessed something was changing with Taku's career as his management did not want to give a licence to sell this one as a print - which seemed a bit odd. Also the fact that there are now 3 Sato signed prints on the market, 2 of mine ( Australian GP 2002 / F3 Oulton 2001 ) and a Craig Warwick painting. 2 days after receiving this news they informed me of his decision to go to BAR shortly before the official announcement. Hopefully I will have a BAR one to do in the future when a race seat become available.

I hope that you do Andrew !.....

I think that you should also talk them into letting you do a painting of him taking Hawthorns at Brands Hatch flat in his Carlin F3 car.......it would look lovely with a backdrop of the Bridge at Pilgrims Drop too.....

sorry , im just dreaming now !......sounds good though , doesnt it .
