Who would you choose?

Let's say you found a spare franchise in the bushes on the walk to work this morning, and you picked up a top line team at a tax seizure auction in the afternoon for $25. Both Holden or Ford want to tip a heap of funding into your team. You need 2 drivers who haven't raced full time this year (for argument's sake). who would you have racing for your team?

No One. I'd sell the franchise to TWR so they could run their 44 car team. Then sell the cars to a Konica team. I'd keep the material and personnel. I'd take the bucks thus gained and go and set up a Nations Cup Team, running a GT3 Cup, or Viper.

But if I were to do what ya said, I'd go with Mark Winterbottom and Wayne Wakefield. Probably in Fords.

I would choose ford due to hole of a big fan favourite team as opposed to holden who have HRT and to a lesser extend Team Brock, ford only have DJR and OO but none of them have really grabbed the market by the throat.

Then I would grab Greg Ritter and Luke Youlden and go racing and also a Konica car that can be shared between two drivers( Will Power & Dean Canto ) that I would be blooding for the enduros. I would also get sponsors who are aiming at the youth market eg Macdonalds Billabong etc. Try and get that young hoon market going for my team thus selling a lot of merchandising

I would go for someone like Nathan Pretty and another youngster like Matthew Coleman or someone like that , both a proven winners and very fast or for excitement value maybe Christian Murchison but the repair bill might be a tad high

Steve Johnson and "Skippy" Parsons in Fords, Peter Fowler as Team manager, with some good mechanics. Flaggie being from Shep you should know of PF.

I would choose a FORD because no other current Holden team can catch HRT so I'm sure my Holden team couldn't. Plus Ford have the sympathy vote if my team was to have problems like most of the current Fords teams do. Then I would put Paul Dumbrell and Greg Ritter in the seats. Two of the next big stars.

Now remember guys,

The drivers haven't raced full time for the last year. So, for me, Wayne Gardner and Owen Kelly in a Ford.

Quite clearly I didn't read the topic first post properly. I went off early - don't you hate that?
