The 240Z is moving along pretty well, with regular 45's and a couple of 44's for the S2.

I hadn't driven this track for ages, so I spent a bit of time on it today with the Stingray. Seems able to do regular 46s. I know I'm losing time throught the twisty bits as you have to wait ages before you can stick the power on with it!
Fogelhund, any more details on the results of round 1? (Great picture by the way - wish I could use one of those!) Last edited by krt917; 27 Dec 2003 at 00:00. |

Are you using manual shift?

no im using auto, still i doubt if using manual will make up a difference of 3 seconds a lap, its possible that manual shift might gain a bit of time but considering im pushing the car as hard as i can get it to go, like i cant go sfa faster through the corners without understeering into the outside wall & ive got it flat chat down the straights, i find it imposible that the mustang is capable of going that quick

No, you're probably right; manual wouldn't give you three seconds, but you might be surprised at how much time it can give you. It also might just be set-up - I know Fogelhund, for example, has done a lot of work on suspension settings. The other thing, of course, is that the Mustang may not be quick at that particular circuit. I ran a GT350 last season and was usually faster in the Stingray, though it did depend on the track. Perhaps Laguna will be a better track for you.
