Chassis STC 95/002 made its debut at the 1998 24 Hours of Daytona with a GT3 class victory and a sixth-place overall finish before again winning its class at the 12 Hours of Sebring the following month. Over its remaining 11 starts in 1998, the car secured five additional class wins to help BMW and PTG sweep the season’s PSCR and USRRC GT3 manufacturer and team championships. The car was again campaigned by PTG throughout the 1999 USRRC and ALMS seasons before being sold to Genesis Racing in 2000 as PTG shifted its fleet to the E46 platform.

Ah yes, the old BMW fanboi it's not a 4dr you twit car. Wasn't it the "GT3" cause we say it is rather than full homologation car? Forget which was entered as a GT3s or GTS3, something like that Couple of the next car run in the Masters Historics but one was rather roundly sent in to the barriers at the Esses at Road Atlanta a couple years back in the rain.

In that race Spirit of Daytona ran a GT3 Mitsu Eclipse GSX. Also in GT1 an Ols Cutlass and Aurora were raced
