Procar are having their first stand alone race meeting early May at Wakefield Park down in Goulburn. How does everyone think this will go ?

That 2nd hand Ferrari F1 car will also be there that Prancing Horse purchased last year. I've emailed Procar to find out if it will actually turn in any demo laps but they say it is unconfirmed at the moment.

I'm thnking of going down there but just not sure...anyone else going ?

I nearly pooped me pants at Queensland Raceway yesterday at the State Championship meeting when I walked into a mates garage to find Ross Palmer! Apparently there are 2 spots left in the V8 Brutes (both Fords) so if you have a little dough....

Will it work? It depends. Give it time I guess, really the V8 Lites last year weren't that big, and I guess it comes down to how well promoted it all is... Good luck to them all the same

Round 1 of the Konica Series V8s was held at Wakefield Park earlier this year.

But the question still has to be asked, will you guys go to watch Nations Cup, GT Performance, GT Production, V8 Brutes, F3 plus one or two local classes? Of course I will, but the average punter who only rocks up the SCS, will they be interested?

Well I'll be going to Wakefield, covering the non-procar races and to be honest I don't think I would have travelled to Wakefield otherwise. Oran Park or Eastern Creek I would.

That 2nd hand Ferrari was at Phillip Island for the V8s but I bet 99% of people didn't know it as it was in one of the pit garages, not doing much.

I hope to make it just to see the F3 races and the utes.
I think the average person relates to GTP, Nations Cup, etc better and enjoy the racing more than the supercars. How often do you get to see a dablo or 360 at speed?Last year at eastern creek a group of non racing friends went "to see what all the fuss is about" and thought the nations cup was the best bit of the day.
When I asked back to the creek for this year no one wanted to but most are keen to go to wakefield.

Just got confirmation from the organisers that the 2nd hand Ferrari F1 car will only be a static display.

No Demo Laps.
