The car looks good. I see that Peter Kox and Olly Gavin are slated to drive at Estoril and Monza; if they're retained for 2004, does this mean vacancies at Prodrive and Pratt and Miller?

Thanks for that link, Andy. Man is that a beautiful car. I sincerely hope it's competitive.

It looks fantastic.
I just wouldn't hold out too much hope for this being a serious effort,Burd. The dismissive sports car experts have already spoken and discounted the Lamborghini project a couple of weeks ago. When the people who have their finger on the pulse of the sport don't even know that it is happening, I figure it must not amount to much. |

Heh. Audi Sport is a full partner in the project, so in truth that probably means we'll be seeing this car dominate the GTS class at Le Mans for the next four years. This is, in effect, the new Bentley. Thank God the FIA-GT series has weight handicaps...

Are you sure,Burd?
Someone posted that it was probably just Reiter running another Lamborghini and dismissed it as nothing. Besides, this GT Supercar thing will never catch on, nor will the Daytona Prototypes. They simply don't cost enough to be popular. The future is in prototypes and the battle between Bentley and Audi. Saying that this GT car is the "new Bentley" is laughable. You can be kicked off some forums for saying things like that,Burd. So watch it! |

The real question here is, when this car runs at Le Mans, will the mechanics be speaking Italian or German?

The car will be developed by German company Reiter Engineering and Audi Sport. So I think it will be the German language.

Sorry, that was a poorly phrased rhetorical question.

This car is exciting. Go to supercars.net to see a bunch of pictures of it.
Why take Viagra when there are cars like this? Who would want to see a bunch of these cars racing Maserati "Enzo"s, Saleen S7Rs and other "road cars" that you can see everyday? |

Maybe I would watch them-IF they were racing to win a race overall.
"Well Mr.Sponsor you will invest 2m to be the major sponsor of this GT Supercar, but there are four classes at LeMans and we won't win the race but might finish as high as 5th overall and first in class. No matter how discouraging this might seem to you, do know the handful of anoraks out there will be very happy with this scenario." |

""Most likely result of current machinations is currently a Lambo Murcialago prepared by Reiter engineering with some subtle factory support." I don't see anything dismissive there. The FIA GT project is indeed a Murcielago prepared by Reiter. If you want to go down a pedantic route and discuss what is / or isn't factory support, subtle or otherwise, please go ahead. It will no doubt keep you amused for an hour or so. When will you finally "get it" that this (ie the forum culture) isn't about backslapping those who eventually get it right or chiding those who get it wrong but rather about involving people more in a sport that they love. That's why I posted what I did when I did, is there a problem with that? It really would be refreshing if you tried, just for a day or so, to post without including a snipe or a "I told you so" |

I hope this might clear things up a bit as to who is in charge of the Murcielago R-GT program.
TheRaceSite.com- Murcielago R-GT From what I understand, it seems like Reiter Engineering is playing the same roll that Jeost did with the R8, with help from Audi Sport. Aren't they the R8 people? The car itself is stunning but I think it would look better in yellow. This car will be a winner, cause when was the last time VAG built a looser? |

Was that your post,GG?
You were correct. It is Reiter,at least in Europe, and they do indeed have "some" help from Lamborghini. Wait-sorry about the "backslapping" there, but you were spot on as usual. KM PS-You were also right about you and your fellow DSCer TWK having different views from one another. I apologise for lumping you two together. He argues with everyone and is so very angry. I can't imagine his outrage as things unfold in sportscar racing land over these coming months. |

Ours may be yellow or it could end up black.
The Frankfurt car looks black in one picture and gray in the others. Same car and different lighting? |

If you have a beef with any other individual - and you very clearly do - Particularly one who doesn't post here - don't you think email would be a more appropriate medium. |

Viagra Lambo?
Imagine a black Lamborghini R-GT with white Viagra lettering on the front and sides.
I am trying to get them to see that a car like this would be a better place to spend some of their A&P budget. Viagra are facing stiff opposition that is now entering their market, so it may work. |

He doesn't post here? Given that he even posts on the G/A board I assumed that he came here on occasion.
Aside from his arrogant attitude and complete disrespect for everyone, except Don Panoz, I have no real problem with TWK. Anyway, I still apologise to you and that was the main point I wanted to get across. KM |

What about a lime green Lambo......
That would certainly be different. |
